Following potential 2017 draftees...

Why? I don't care if they're book smart. That doesn't make them a good player.
But it tells you they study. They have a mind to understand. Perfect example is javale McGee. He has all the talent in the world but he is not smart enough to understand proper rotations and offensive schemes.

The fact ojeleye is smart means he can understand the nuances of the jazz offense and defensive rotations.

You know McGee is known as being really smart off the court, right?

Intelligence is multi-faceted. Not being able to process information on the basketball court at NBA speed as well as others doesnt mean you are stupid.

I would never call anyone stupid. Their actions yes but not them personally. Just the tip said who cares if they are book smart. McGee is NOT book smart and I have searched all over the the internet and nothing. Maybe he is an idiot savant but when it comes to understanding the game of basketball I think Ojeleye has the smarts the work ethic and the athleticism to become very good.

Now would I take Mcgee on the jazz to back up rudy of course because that is what he can do very well.

He had a 4.5 GPA in HS and has a college degree.

Off court smarts does not equal on court smarts. It might say that they're willing to study, but it doesn't mean they have a good bball IQ.
