Following potential 2017 draftees...

Jazz aren't getting into the lottery this year. Might as well look to add a couple guys to bounce down to the Stars late in the first because Utah and Golden State are both going to be picking late this draft.

Agreed. Hopefully lottery talents can fall right in their laps again tho..

As for the 2nd sentence. I agree too - Here's one of my suggestions.

Marques Bolden needs the "Claws and Fangs" peptalk from Vince Vaughn in Swingers. I'd post it but there's f-bombs. Youtube it, worth 1:43 if you've never seen it.

Looks like the monster game for Lydon had a spill over effect. Lights out 1st half, he's got 4 ast so I guess a triple double is possible.

Even with all the super productive players that have already surfaced in this class already, Jonathan Isaac can keep putting up relatively modest stats in comparison and still go higher than most all of em.

Thats just how talented he is. At 6'11" he uses those choppy steps you see from Rodney Hood. There are some traces of Porzingis in his game.

I like Isaac a lot.

Cool Hand Luke Kennard just busted this game open. They left him alone 3x from deep and he made them all LOL. Too bad. The upset was brewing for almost 30 minutes..

I hope Kennard comes out this year.

Hope so. It'd be a shame if players the quality of Frank Jackson and Gary Trent Jr. got stuck on the bench of next years squad.

there's going to be some odd movement around declaration time with the fringe 1st rd SG's.. Only thing we really know for sure is Josh Hart will be there, and I'd say if Rawle Alkins keeps playing as is he'll be there, same goes for Mushidi too.

Chimezie Metu looks GREAT and vastly improved, which is a big deal because he's a GREAT athlete at 6'11.

Excellent candidate for the Warriors pick IMO.

Melton looks awesome too. If the Jazz can grab them I'll be amped. Great athletes.

The Quarter finals have begun in the U18 Euro chip. Germany escaped Spain by the skin of their teeth just now..

HArtenstein was great 19 and 13 in 25 minutes. Mushidi was pretty damn bad, lots of TO's and 1/6 from 3.

I hope Kennard comes out this year.

He might be in our range. I remember you comparing him to Hayward and I dismissed it initially, but the more I watch of him the more striking similarities I see in the way they create space for their offense. Of course he doesn't have the length and physical profile of a Hayward or his defense, but some things are just shockingly similar.

here's a video:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B15ZR678s_E

0:20 exact same way Hayward stops on his drives and headfakes in the lane into a fadeaway. I swear I've seen Hayward do this dozens and dozens of times.

1:00 Hayward uses the exact same fake, usually drives after the defender flies by.

1:40 That's the Hayward special, the step back from the right side. That's the shot that beat the Cavs, the shot that beat the Mavs(from left side) the shot that was going to beat the Celtics if it wasn't for Zeller's buzzerbeater.

And this is just in the very first video I searched on youtube.

You prefer him over Rawle Alkins?

Possible high-magnitude 3-star sleeper alert - Michael Weathers 6'2" Freshman PG for Miami of Ohio. Averaging 19.3ppg and he's got good quickness, only seen him one game but I'm gonna keep checking in.

Miami-Ohio’s Michael Weathers might not be getting the national attention UCLA’s Lonzo Ball, Kentucky’s Malik Monk, Kansas’ Josh Jackson or Duke’s trio of freshman are getting, but Weathers has been, statistically, one of the best newcomers this season.

The Shawnee Mission North alumnus is averaging 19.5 points per game, which is third among freshman in the country behind Washington’s Markelle Fultz (23.2 ppg) and Monk (21.9 ppg). Monk, however, helped his average on Saturday with 48 points in a 103-100 win against North Carolina.

FROM OUR SPONSORS:
But it’s Weathers who is being relied on more by his team. When he’s on the court, Weathers uses 39.2 percent of the Redhawks’ possessions. What that means is Weathers is making or missing shots or turning the ball over on two-fifths of all of Miami’s shots. And when Weathers is on the court, he’s taking 35.1 percent of his team’s shots, which is 20th in the country.

And if you’re thinking Weathers is hogging the ball, think again. He’s fourth in the nation in assist rate, 48.7, which is assists divided by the field goals made by the player’s teammates while he is on the court.

Those ranks, provided by KenPom, aren’t among freshman only; it’s among all classes.

Weathers thrived on getting to the foul line while a member of the Indians and he’s proving it in the college ranks as he’s fifth in the nation drawing 8.9 fouls per 40 minutes. His 77.6 percent clip from the line is 417th in the nation, but his free throw rate is 55.1, which is free throws attempted divided by field goals attempted is 148th in the nation.

Weathers isn’t just preforming well on the offensive end as he’s made nearly 49 percent of his shots, he’s been putting in work on the defensive end.

He’s blocked 8 percent of opponents two-point field goals and has stolen the ball on 3 percent of possessions when he’s on the court, which ranks 64th and 237th, respectively.

Weathers hasn’t been too shabby on the glass, but twin brother Marcus has grabbed 20.1 percent of all defensive rebounds when he’s on the floor, which is 257th.

The Redhawks are 5-6 on the season, but the future is bright in Oxford, Ohio. The rest of the nation might be kicking themselves for not offering this duo.

Here's some HS footagehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uPZBpIbe4ZI

He projects as a player quick enough to get to the rim, a plus shooter and defender.

Hearing Rumblings that Hamidou Diallo will enroll at UConn for the 2nd semester and end up playing college ball this year.. Like Austin Wiley at Auburn except he'd be draft eligible this year..

The semi-finals of the Euro U18 chip tip off shortly. Germany v Lithuania and Italy v France are the final 4. Will 15y/o Doumboya lead the tournament in scoring?? Apparently Ntilikina's been playing thru sickness.

The forward matchups for LTU-GER should be damn fine. Hopefully Kulboka's 3pt shot is on, and Sedekerskis continues his stellar play.

I can't help but notice a good amount of racist comments on the side when I watch the YT stream for the French games. I've seen something along the lines of "This is an African team not a French one" posted more often than you'd think and I just glance at that ****..
