Following potential 2017 draftees...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FWfXaogLypI

This big from the Balkans seems to show flashes of Kaminsky on offense.. DX probably has him way too low at #100 in the top 100.. He's like 6'10½" with a 7'1" wingspan..

I think he and his teammate Viny Okuo might be draftable this year.. Definitely stash candidates

6'2" French PG Elie Okbo would be one of the youngest players in this draft and he's going into my next mock. I really like his shot and he's got nice change of pace, reported 6'7" wingspan and he's a lefty. Would be a glorious get in the 2nd rd to stash. definitely a player to keep an eye on. He's DX's top ranked PG in the internation '97 rankings but I've gotta say he looks underrated.. Only seen highlights and one full game tho.

Kind of reminds me of a bigger lefty version of Melo Trimble, I like his change of pace.

Edit - I call dibs on championing the Jazzfanz Okobo hypetrain, this kid is gonna be a solid pro. he's gonna debut in my mock in the 40's

How could a team that just traded a lottery pick for George Hill not like a player like this?!

Really like Vick and Self said he's their most improved. Keep an eye on his 3pt shot, if it's good he's definitely a 1st rd talent, and I'd definitely compare him favorably to Tony Wroten. He's got some Jordan Clarkson to his game, possibly some Jamal Crawford.. If he plays really extremely well I could definitely be talked into putting him over Edmond Sumner, who many see as a 1st rd lock..

[Josh] Jackson, the No. 1-rated player in the recruiting Class of 2016, would have it no other way.

“What’s that saying, ‘Use steel to sharpen steel?’” Jackson said with a smile. “Playing against great competition is only going to make you better. The better the competition, the better it is for everybody.”

Jackson said the hardest player for him to guard has been sophomore Lagerald Vick.

“He’s really fast. He can shoot the ball well, has really long arms,” Jackson said. Trying to stay in front of him is almost impossible for me.

“If he blows by me and dunks, I’m just waiting to get yelled at by coach (Bill) Self,” Jackson added, grinning. “Each day, playing against guys like Lagerald and Svi (Mykhailiuk) … it makes you better.”

Wow Ray Smith got hurt again... what a shame.. Arizona's had the kitchen sink thrown at them and the season didn't even start. He could've been a player the Jazz would've looked at if he had a clean season injury free..

Expect Kobi Simmons who's a phenomenally athletic 6'5" combo guard to get way more burn than previously expected. Also we'll see more of Rawle Alkins, both could have fringe 1st rd talent.

This could be interesting if UK misses on some of these guard targets in the coming weeks.. Will they scramble back to Jay Jay Chandler or try to make a move for MJ Walker super late in the process??? Or do they just hope Isiah Briscoe returns?

I kinda wish they had recruited Isaiah Washington as a D option all along. Do they have eyes on transfers or maybe some under the radar 4 or 3-star??

Justin Patton 6'11" RS freshman on Creighton is a legit sleeper !! He put on 25lbs in his RS year and reportedly measured 6'10" w/o shoes, 7'1" wingspan and 9'2" standing reach in the summer of 2014. He's athletic and can shoot. He was on the Kareem award watchlist.

what a ****in' travesty. Ray Smith is one of the best players I've ever seen that didn't even get to college.. Shades of Demar DeRozan

LOL the NBAdraft.net dudes are riding super high on Robert Williams hype. who I've been talkin bout here for at least a year now.

They've got him ranked 15th in the entire class...
https://www.nbadraft.net/ranking/ncaa/2020
15. Robert Williams 6-9 235 PF Texas A&M

Robert Williams
Robert Williams
Possessing an absurd 7’4 wingspan, Williams also is a strong run and jump athlete who really impressed when matched up with peers at the 2015 Nike Skills Academy. At the EYBL level, rim protection was his calling card, as he proved to be one of the most dangerous shot blockers in his class. He also shows a lot of potential as a rebounder and is going to be a dangerous rim-runner who will be a threat to catch lobs. His ball skills and shooting are still raw, though his frame and ability to run the floor should both stand out right away. Williams is a prospect brimming with potential that possesses elite physical tools that could make him impactful in doing the dirty work many teams desire out of their PF. Showing further versatility on offense will likely take time, but he is one of the major sleepers in this incoming freshman group, with lottery talent down the road.

They also have the other 4-star big I've been hyping for a long time JAmes Banks ranked 29!

**Rodions Kurucs could be an interesting player for the Jazz to try and promise with the Warriors pick. He just had knee surgery a month ago, so he's likely to pull out of this draft, he'd definitely be a stash target if he's in.

If Kurucs' is out, swap in Syracuse Freshman Tyus Battle into that 1st rd spot. I kinda like his chances.

2 more international sleepers with seemingly high upside - Senegalese 7-footer Atoumane Diagne, FC Barcelona. Abdoulaye N'doye a 6'6" French PG on Rudy's old team Cholet.

Diagne is born on Dec 31st so he's the youngest possible player in this draft.

Watching Favors in his hobbled state, I can't help but think - Maybe they start prepping for him to walk 2 summers from now?

Anyone here have a defensive / rebounding minded PF/C in mind??? I've got a few ideas, in this draft and the next one..

Bamba - your buddy's wrong.

UK seems to be all in on just a handful of guards. Will look at grad transfers as fallback.
Briscoe will NOT return.

Lonnie Walker (prediction Nova)
Diallo (prediction UConn)
Young (prediction UK)
Green (prediction Cuse)
Alexander (prediction UK)
Petty (UK / Bama - close)

Problem is the cupboard will be completely bare.
We will lose every single guard.

Bamba isn't going to be in the Jazz range..

He hates on Mo the way he hated on Andrew Wiggins, he thinks Louis King(2018) is a better prospect.. dude's a bigtime hater there's a long list of highly rated guys he's hated on recently, he's had a few spot on the $$ tho. He's good for a nugget every once in a while.

They're gonna go after grad transfers before M.J. Walker??? Thats terrible, I dunno why they wouldn't try to get him, he's a better shooter than Diallo...

What about 2018 re classifiers? any rumblings?? There's surely a bunch of older players that should be in 2017 anyway.. I dunno if anyhave the coursework tho.

Updated mock after the Arizona complications..

No possible way Tatum falls to number 8 but Wow that would be a steal for the Nuggets and the nuggets draft well and have so much talent. Diop is not going to go to the draft to just be selected in 2nd round. He is a 4 year college player. Melo Trimble will go higher then where you have him. Early 2nd round late first round. Your top 10 is so wack dude.. Ball will not fall out of the top 10 and Patton from Creighton will not be declaring after this season. He is a on pace to graduate in 3 years, So if he goes early it will be next year. He is still very raw.

Bridges from Sparty will be much higher selected, Graham from Kansas you still beating that bush. He is not a first rounder and ?you have 2 Texas A &M players but you have the wrong ones. The big guy they have . Think his name is Tyler Davis. He is the one that would declare and get picked possible late round 1. I just cant believe you have Graham going in round 1. What a joke dude. Melo Trimble will be picked higher then him mark my words and the pf from Washington will be selected before Fox. Fox at number 2 is straight funny. .To Skinny

It's preseason bruh don't get your **** in a knot over it, I'm just calibrating a bunch of lists at once, it's a lot of trimming and there's tons of room for error.

Players I like, such as Fox, Markannen and Graham are rated highly, near the top of their ranges, and if they don't preform up to high standards will be dropped, some like Markelle Fultz (if he shoots it well from 3) and HArry Giles (if he stays healthy) are positioned to rise. Tatum could certainly go higher, a scarcity of quality wings past the top tiers will likely help his cause, but he's also recovering from injury.

I've been bringing up Diop on this site since he and D'Angelo Russell were headed to OSU, he's draftable and worthy of mention.

Graham should be the featured PG and it's hurt his exposure and will likely continue to do so. I definitely think the Cavs would like to have a PG like him.. I thought the biggest reach I had at PG was the Frenchman at 41..

BRidges could easily be a few spots higher at 20.

As far as Fox being too skinny that remains to be seen, it's said he's up about 18 lbs, so if he can maintain that during the season and add some going into the draft he'll be fine.

I like Tyler Davis he's a bull and certainly draftable in the 2nd rd eventually. He's short armed for the NBA though which tarnishes his best NBA skill rebounding a bit.

Hogg's 3pt shot and Robert Williams shot blocking to me are more promising..

Diallo is an awful shooter, lol.
Cal watched MJW but he backed off for some reason and no one seems to know why.

I love Bridges as a cbb player... but not so sure about pros.. he's kind of a tweeter with his size:skillset.
