What's new

Following potential 2017 draftees...

LaGerald Vick is 15 for his last 21 from 3 KU's getting throttled early tho.

6'2" Fr. PG Jaylen Fisher on TCU (Best Albino in the nation) is like a better version of Aaron Craft.

Jarrett Allen falling to the Jazz pick would basically be a jackpot scenario. Texas is unexpectedly brutal this year so there might be forces at work helping him fall..

He's certainly the type of player that fans would marvel at his improvement in his first few years because he's just scratching the surface.

Who do you like better between Metu and Allen?

Not that it's entirely relevant, but OG Anunoby would be a tough, physical defensive wing that would complement Hayward and Hood. I like him better than I liked Stanley Johnson.

Allen's a tier above project wise IMO. He's longer than Favors (Metu's probably slightly shorter), he's also got more natural scoring insticts/touch/footwork..

Metu's got his hands full on FS1 right now vs Oregon's bigs Jordan Bell, Chris Boucher.

Both will test well at the combine (and P3) for players their age/size, they're quick and explosive with plenty of room to fill out. They both rocket off the floor and reach their max height (staring down the rim) quickly.

Texas lost again to drop to an extremely disappointing 6-7 (I thought they'd be good) Jarrett Allen got blocked really bad but he's been playing better of late and is stringing together double-doubles.

You and I both called that way early.

I don't mind Maten he actually plays a bit like Pascal Siakam. I had him high in the 2nd rd next year but I could see him going somewhere in the mid-40's this year. Interested to see how he measures out. DX certainly has him well under-ranked.

I'm extremely skeptical he's a better prospect than 6'8" Nevada So. PF Cameron Oliver. If you haven't seen him I assure u he's one of the most underrated bigs in the nation. If he was 6'10" instead of 6'8" he might be a lottery pick.Oliver's already made more 3's than last year and he's shooting them at a 43% on a decent clip (4.5 per game after just 1.6 as a Fr.) pretty sizable uptick, if he can somehow keep the pace it portends very well for his stock (and fit on Utah seeing as he's a fine shot-blocker for 6'8" -- Better than Sap)

Montrezl Harrell is looking pretty good. He was an undersized prospect that fell to the 2nd round.

Dedric Lawson with 19-15-8ast-1stl-2blks in victory over South Carolina last night.

Oregon St.'s C 6'10" Drew Eubanks could be an interesting player for Utah. He's like a much better/more athletic version of Jack Cooley.

USC got thwacked for their first L of the season v Oregon last night. Metu was 1/12 from the field, Melton was decent tho. Dillon Brooks was lights-out for Oregon.

Loaded schedule for prospect watching today, lots of big games tipping early. It's already kicked off with #11 Xavier and Georgetown on FS1. Edmond Sumner's off to a good start.

I've seen many Xavier games already this season and I'm pretty confident Utah won't be drafting Edmond Sumner with one of the 1st rd picks.

He lacks the polish I was hoping to see after all the summer hype and a very productive Fr. season. At this point to me he's very much like a DeJounte Murray of yesteryear - Lottery tools but also a tendency to become unbridled...

The $64,000 question is; how far away is he? Thts where I get hung up when It comes to the Jazz - I can't see them trying to groom him to be a reliable backup quickly a la Trey Lyles.

What exactly is the plan with all these draft picks tho?? I'm not sure. If they're going to load up the D-league squad I could see him serving some purpose as a player to be groomed as a Burks insurance policy/possible combo down he road.

Jessie Govan on Georgetown 0-3 in the 1st half. LJ Peak who's a Chris Johnson/Norman Powell type and a Jr./possible 2nd rd pick is carrying the Hoya's and has 16pts on 7/11 shooting.

noon games tipping off!!

Duke's down 15 with 3 to-go int he 1st half to Va Tech. If it wasn't for Kennard this would be over already. Career high 4pts and counting for Giles.

Was definitely right about Anas Mahmoud(Used to point out how underrated he was in DX's rankings - and still is at 36 in the Jr. list). Easily an NBA talent. Possibly draftable this year. He's battling Thomas Bryant well. Reminds me a bit of Withey but he's got more upside IMO.

Deng Adel looks great. He's showing traces of being a big-game player. I'd take him over Dwayne Bacon.

lmao then Kennard misses a FT as overrated chant starts. How you going to miss 2 of 3 stat pad FT's with no pressure, cmon Kennard. Should have had that 36 point game.
