Following potential 2017 draftees...

Dr. Jones did you have an inclination on the Knox commit or were u surprised like the rest of us plebs?

(I can't say I was all that shocked tho.. It's quite clear Coach Cal is not the dude to underestimate in the arena of recruiting, he's obviously unparalleled.)

So glad he's on the squad tho. He's the main replacement for Diallo (for the others reading this). I always pay attention to the Team USA camps and thats where I first saw him -- Before he cut the weight, before he quit playing football. He's come a long way and still there's so far to go.

also do u have any word on Vanderbilt being injured? I truly hope thats not a part of this.

Was shocked with Knox.
Vanderbilt is okay from little birdies words.. but not confirmed.

Cool. What a rebounding squad this is gonna be if Bamba's in as well!!! I love watching teams who control the boards. definitely a recipe for success in the tournament.

I'm really excited for Vanderbilt, this all plays out for him to showcase the ball-skills and passing that he's got in spades..

I hope Cam Johnson is in too. Bring on the shooters.

It's funny Coach Cal said Mo Bamba's the next Anthony Davis all that time ago.. This class to me is really starting to remind me of that class.. Baker sorta reminds me of Doron Lamb..

Jok could be the michael redd of this draft

There's not a snowflakes chance in hell.. Jok is getting way too much pub here right now.. Chances of him being the next Anthony Morrow are very low too..

Another 23 year old player with a nearly identical build Damyean Dotson should definitely be getting mentioned in the same breath. He's also a dead-eye shooter.

Like I've said before the UDFA pool is gonna be epic this year. Don't forget Davon Reed who's a 6'5" shooter with a 7' wingspan (He's got some Josh Richardson like qualities -- I'd say thats the type of player to look for, Michael Redd is one of the greatest 2nd rd picks ever.)

Reed turns 22 in a month.

Jok will be a better pro then he was a college player. He was always being doubled team and was the focal point of other teams scouting reports. If he can settle in to being a 3D player then he has a good chance. Don t see Redd in his future but Morrow he could be.

Great article of Derrick White's underdog story. Went from his dad mailing highlights videos to random DII colleges who had graduating guards (and nearly all rejected him) to probably getting drafted to the NBA. Crazy ****.

I've been here trying to sound the alarm on this story pretty much from get-go. He was in one of my initial mocks... This is not some story u hear about often, it doesn't manifest itself on the court like what this kid has already achieved, beyond a shadow of a doubt, either.. I almost want to use one of my least favorite words, unique.

A better pro than Derrick White?

any questions on prospects? I invite the best most complex and intricate questions u can muster, full-force. Go for it, do your worst, concoct a real doozy, add all sorts of qualifications and whatever u can come up with..

My days here are numbered. Some new team/fanbase is never gonna know what hit them when I touch down on their forums.. My entrance will be probably similar to here, people will swear im one of the local trolls with a new persona (they thought I was Franklin when i touched down here, there was an epic thread that I think I deleted all my comments from after the fact.)

This place has provided me with great entertainment and lessons. Before I bow out, least I can do is shed some light on opinions that I've spent a truly embarrassing amount of time reaching.

Morrow sucked on d.

Morrow sucked on d.

He was an undrafted free agent that shot the lights out from 3, in fact he led the league in % as a rookie.. He shot it so well it was undeniable that he was worthy of being on an NBA roster (and with a real contract)

His defense has nothing to do with any of that.. U don't look in the UDFA for the most complete players, u look for ones who've got a tool sharp enough that it can be used and leveraged in spurts.. and Morrow was exactly that, in spades.

Context is always important. Always follow the $$$, many of these stats are bogus in comparison.. These stats and 'experts' help people lose the scent of whats truly important as a tracker. $$$ is the greatest stat of all in sports. Things are always worth what others will pay, the key question is "Why?" and how to appraise true underlying value, which again Morrow as an UDFA was in spades..
