Wilson shot 37.3% from three on almost 3 attempts a game. Not bad for his first year of getting starter minutes.

Thon Maker is actually not a terrible comp for Jeanne at his point.
Thanks for pointing it out. Yeah. Huestis was a very obvious promise. They had an agreement in advance to send him to D-League but promised him he will be on the roster the following year... and he was, even though he wasn't ready to be on an NBA roster.
Reggie Jackson was a very well known promise too.

Same. Count me among those singing Thon's praises last year and have been with Jeanne this year.
DJ Wilson would fit a lot of what the Jazz like to do. He's extremely mobile for a guy with that length, and even though he's a 4, he plays a lot like a wing. He'll be really good at spacing the floor and attacking close-outs.

I'll pass on Wilson. Production was poor, especially for a junior. 5 rebs in 30 mpg for a guy 6'10", no thanks. Extremely talented, i think he's a PG_AB favorite, but let somebody else take that risk.
Lyles, as a frosh was as good as Wilson as a junior.

I'm right there with you. It seems like a lot of the same people who liked Maker like Jeanne this year as well.
Wilson played 4.8 MPG his freshman year and 6.1 MPG his sophomore year. Hard to really compare his stats for being a junior to other players.

Not sure i agree with that line of thinking, but don't want to get into it. I'll just go on record that I'm not a fan.
I would be peeved if we took him over Kuzma, but he does have a lot of defensive potential that fits the Jazz well.
One other note: DJ Wilson wore some giant shoes at the combine. Nearly 2'' difference between his w/o and w/ shoes height.
I like Bolden as much as Wilson. I think Wilson's rebound numbers are explained by his playing and guarding out on the floor mostly. But I'm reaching for an excuse. He needs to add strength.

He's almost 6'9 w/o shoes so that puts him comfortably around 6'10.

Jazz promised Jordan Adams before and DJ Wilson was considering going back to school. If you really like him you are going to promise him to keep him in the draft.

That's just a rumor. Draft promises are only ever confirmed if they actually go through, or maybe years down the road when someone is writing an article/book.
Man, cmon. How in the hell can you compare him to Chandler Parsons?
Because if things go well, that's his ceiling. I'm calling it best case scenario, but he has that potential--shooting, athleticism, running the floor, etc.
DJ Wilson is just so inconsistent. He has a lot of games where he doesnt even score 7 points.
