What's new

Following Potential 2018 Draftees

Giannis' bro opens tonight for Dayton. He's not even a projected pick in mocks. I'd bet that changes. Big time.

Dzanan Musa can really shoot the ball. If he can gain some strength, he could slide in at the 3. He's 6'9" with a 6'8.5" wingspan and 8'9" standing reach. People criticize his length, but he's longer than Gordon Hayward and has the same standing reach as Joe Ingles.

I'm just saying its bad because its nothing new. Every preseason take possible has been made on the guys. Just not interested in peoples evaluations on AAU game highlights anymore now that the season is upon us.

Actually I was a little lower on Ayton until i watched some games that Arizona played over in Europe and some preseason games. I was very impressed with the way that he played and the reason I now say he is what Oden could have been. He is still very young but learning curve is very good. He is so mobile and pretty fluid.

I was actually disappointed in the couple of Duke game I have watched so far this preseason. Bagley seems so lost and struggles when he gets the ball with out a clear path to the basket. He is amazing in the open court though. I am not as high on bagley as i have been.

I am just a big fan of Porter

Ayton is really big. He looks like Patrick Ewing at Georgetown. I'm not sure if he's as explosive as Oden was, but he's really well coordinated and has some touch around the rim.

I'm being won over by Porter as well. He's not the most explosive athlete, but he's got the right kind of quick-reactions to be very effective.

Jury is out on Bagley for me.

Enough with boring ****ing white guys. Oy ****ing vey. We need an elite or close to elite (and hopefully long) 3 with decent shooting form and an ability to finish at the rim. We don't have that. At all. We need that.

The way the jazz are playing they would have to buy back in late in the first to get Musa

Jacob Evans is the perfect fit. Telling y'all. Hard nose defender and quick 3pt release. Could be the next Covington, but with more ancillary skills

I will say watching the Kentucky game, I am intrigued by Knox. He looked better than I expected.

His length, body control, end-to-end speed and quick bounce jump off the screen. He just needs to learn to shoot and tighten his handle a bit.

But he's not nearly as skilled as Porter. Not in the same tier.

It's possible that Knox will end up in the 8 - 12 range.

Just realized Josh Okogie was suspended indefinitely during all this NCAA scandal stuff. That blows.

I'm also really interested in Bennie Boatwright this year. If he improves his all-around game this year, he could be a great fit next to Gobert.

He is probably more Tyler Lydon than Kyle Kuzma tho, but someone to keep an eye on as I cant really think of too many other prototypical stretch 4's (potentially) who are draftable.

Alize Johnson was also great in his season debut. 13 and 8 in his season debut despite only playing 14 minutes due to foul trouble.

I havent really watched enough of him to say if he could be a 4 in the NBA. Definitely has a thinner frame than one would like out of a 3/4 combo, but seems tough.

Kilian Tillie had a decent game for Gonzaga with 9 pts, 12 rebs, 1 blk, 1 ast. He's probably more of a complementary player.

Rui Hachimura with double figures (5/8) off the bench.

Chemezie Metu with 18/10/2 blks for USC, including 2/2 from 3 pt. If he adds the 3-pt shot, look out.
