Following Potential 2020 draftees

He sounds a lot like Kaniel Dickens who was a Jazz 2nd round draft pick many years ago who was also a college center. He didn't make the Jazz roster and was a perennial GLeague all-star and 10 day contract player. He could jump out of the gym and make shots from the next county at the GLeague level but could not make it translate when he got to the show.
Yeah, that sounds nothing like Ndoye. He's not explosive at all and moves with long strides in sort of slow motion like Ingles. He can shoot, but his shot is slow and he isnt a shoot first type dude. Excellent defensive instincts and lateral quickness combined with length.

Tyler Bey would be a fun pick.. Oddly enough he's one of the guys that NBAdraft.net was early to the party on. I've always been a fan since he showed up on the radar just because he's spectacular on the boards.

Tyler Bey could contribute 15-20mpg as a rookie and put up like a 17-18 PER here in Utah, he provides a shot of energy and toughness. watching the playoffs you can see what was lost (and gained for Miami) with the play of Jae Crowder. He's also a major factor on the break on both ends.

Bey'd win the fans over pretty quickly once they actually saw him on the court too. Chances are high they'd feel he's "as advertised" or "better than advertised".. high energy player with a real nose for the ball so he's just one of those guys the announcers end up continually saying their name..

I have been calling here for many years to get an oversized combo forward who can defend and rebound, even though Bey is only 6'7" he kinda qualifies for this category because if you've ever watched him play he comfortably plays 2" above his listed 6'7" height, and will likely continue to do so at the NBA level

The Brandon Clarke pick was a massive massive success for the Grizzlies this year, he was incredibly efficient in his minutes just as he was in college.

Tyler Bey is not Brandon Clarke, for the Jazz could he be the closest thing though to adding that type of player in this draft? it's possible...

I'd be interested to hear how Utah fared in games this year where the rebounding battle was close, and how they fared in the games where they decisively lost the rebounding battle.

Cuz if there was a handful of wins left on the table in those games, thats where Tyler Bey can really make an instant impact. In those games where the boards are all of a sudden scarce fans would probably be in the game threads saying "Put Bey in at least he can grab a rebound..."

Bey has never had a big guy like Rudy on his team, or really anything remotely close, you never quite know how he'd react to that. He is the 6'7" dude thats been tasked to battle amongst the trees, and he uses his vertical and timing to kinda swoop in like a bird of prey, Bey is the winner of those duels in the upper atmosphere of the paint time and time again. He'd add another layer to the feeling opponents get of being smothered.

Another guy I like the more I watch is Killian Tillie of Gonzaga. He's a more athletic Davis Bertans. Has a littered injury history, but I would trade into the 2nd round to get him. He's not uber athletic but has terrific timing/anticipation. Like a lot of Gonzaga guys, his basketball IQ show's itself on the court. I'd love him as a replacement, and feel he could do so rather quickly, for Georges Niang.

If we came out of the draft with Tyler Bey and Killian Tillie (buy into the second), I would be very happy about that draft.

Jaden McDaniels is an intriguing gamble play with a very wide variance as far as his potential outcome. High ceiling Brandon Ingram/Christian Wood type but also a potential bust.

I feel with Bey and Tillie you know what you're getting at a minimum. They have a high floor.

Tillie would be a complete steal in the 2nd round, but his injury history is worrying.

Last year, I remember some discussion of Jordan Nwora.

Did going back to Louisville help or hurt his stock ?

He probably didnt do much to help or hurt his stock tbh... If anything he hurt it slightly because of dud performances in big games vs UK and Duke..

Still probably in that 27-40 range. His play was sorta getting shakier as the season was coming to an end. Would been interesting to see how he responded in the tourney, as a whole Louisville was obviously one of the very strongest in the field.

I do remember watching him this year on an off-night and thinking "He's destined for the 2nd rd".. It has to do more with his limited defensive potential than some of the consistency issues with his offense.

He should shoot it lights out for teams in workouts though, that might be enough to sneak him into the 1st rd.

Hes definitely one of my favorites

They need a switchy defensive wing and help defender who isn't high-usage. If Bey can transition to play more on the perimeter than he did at Colorado, it might work. He's got Trevor Ariza measurables, and his shot isn't broken. He's a plus athlete. He seems like a guy the front office could agree on. If they think he can guard 4s, that might seal the deal.

He has really excellent hands on defense...

He's known as a quality shooter and a pretty lack-luster defender. I liked him in the early 2nd round last year. Early this year, I compared him to Dillon Brooks, but I'm not sure that comp is still valid. Nwora seems to spot up mostly, even though I think he's more athletic than he gets credit for. I think he can be a complementary shooter and floor spacer, probably more of a backup.

I have a sneaky feeling that the Jazz are going to end up with Tyler Bey one way or another.
It's no secret Nuggets have huge crush on him. He won't be there sadly when jazz are picking. He perfect pick for nuggets but for Jazz he not a good fit. Jazz need a lot more then what Bey can provide. He going be an all nba defender but he doesn't have much offense so playing Gobert and Him together, it just doesn't work. Him playing off Jokic is ideal for his game. He can cut and get dunks. I want Jazz to draft Nicco Mannion. I know most here think Mitchell is a PG but he isn't. He a combo guard like Jamal Murray. Nuggets have Morris who comes in and is a real pg,Mannion could be that role for the jazz. Josh Green is pick I'd make if you insisting on playing mitchell at the one. He is a Gary Harris clone and he is why Denver came back to beat us. He is a dog and everyteam needs a dog. Gobert sometimes is a dog but need that 24/7 dog so I'd love to see Jazz get one of the Two Arizona kids. I think that improves the Jazz over Bey who I am really high on.

I think he is likely gone before we pick. I'd like to see us draft Bey, Woodard, or maybe Jalen Smith.

Bey is kind of exactly what we need. Could see him snatching the Niang minutes from day one.
