What???So, what would cause Kasparas to have a different trajectory than Reed Sheppard, who was hyped up, drafted high and promptly shrunk in the NBA? And Sheppard is not alone: there were many moderately athletic college/international PGs who were drafted in the lottery and then underperformed: Giddey, Hayes, Fultz, Cameron Payne, our own Trey Burks...
First of all it's way too early to make a judgemental call on Reed in the NBA. Second of all, Kas has a huge size advantage. It's also not like Kas came out of nowhere. People who scout European guys were super high on him and there was a lot of preseason hype about how good he was looking.
There are a lot of great looking prospects that don't pan out every year for a lot of various reasons.
