Following Potential 2025 Draftees

Yeah, it's also not really.... Good for Kon either? Reed is on track to be a horrific bust, lol.
Maybe. Its not a great start. I do think he needs to get on the court and Houston isn't ideal for that. They have had a need but a team trying to compete now is not ideal for a pg to be in the rotation and doing stuff.

I wouldn't write him off by any means, but its worrisome. I think it was more in the way the analytics on/off love him. It was just funny cuz of the skin color and phrasing.

Reed also needs to learn how to play PG at the NBA level and Houston isnt going to give him that

Shep will be fine as long as he can shoot it, even now I believe he will eventually be able to shooter and he will be ok. If he's going to be starter or beyond that he needs to improve his handle. I don't think Shep really has much to do with Kon except that if either can't shoot....yeah they're in trouble. I'm pretty sure both can shoot though.

BTW, to steal a conversation from the other thread....does anyone really think it's better for Reed to be developing in this "winning culture" or would he have been better off developing in some "losing culture" where he could actually play? For the most part, I think you're good if you're good and that will come forth in either situation....but minutes and opportunity to make mistakes is definitely the better environment for development.

I have hard time reconciling Reed’s performance in the g league with his suckiness in the real games.
G League is tough. Tsiebwe is basically prime Wilt there.

Crazy Stat:

Florida has 5 players who have a 10.0 BPM or higher. And they have a 6th at 9.6

All regular rotation players besides Handgloten, who is a regular rotation player who's been injured most of the season, but is healthy now.

Definitely the best overall team even if they dont have the star talent that Auburn/Duke have with Broome/Flagg.
okay, so this supports the idea that i've been saying florida is the best team in cbb. but i'd be curious how that (the bpm stat) compares to other top teams (if you have the info - if no, oh well).

checking the other #1 seeds.

Duke has 5 guys and a 6th at 9.3.
Auburn with "just" 3 guys and nobody else at 9.
Houston has 3 guys over 10 and 3 more at 9 or more.

the 2 seeds:
Bama has 2 over 10 and 2 over 9.
Mich State has 1 over 10 (Jase) and one over 9.
St Johns has 1 over 10 and 1 above 9.
Tennessee has 1 at 10 and 1 above 9.

sheesh. seeding pretty much follows exactly the individual bpm of each of the teams top 6 or 7 guys in the rotation. i think mostly what this says is that the committee got it right at the very top.

I think you need playing time and I'd buy low on Reed if he was available. I think he is one of the assets that goes in whatever big trade they do this summer and finds a better home.

He also just might not have the space he needs to get shots in the league but who knows.
