Ford Mock 5.0

I am down on all PG's not named Schroeder and MCW. I want upside and both of these guys have it. Burke to me is mediocre with some great tourney games, but Schroeder has the athleticism you can't teach... he will hit in the NBA and is already more advanced in his shooting than was Rondo... I feel that is a fair comp for Schroeder. MCW if he figures out his shot will be tough to pass up on too.

Nogeira won't be coming over this year so if you want to stash him with #21 fine.

I like the idea of taking on Marion's contract best and getting 2 players we want at #13 & #14 and then trade #21 for future picks to help us move up in next years draft.

Schroeder or Giannis at 14 and Nogueira at 21 are my wish list. So I'd be pretty happy if this happened (even if it's backwards). I like Canaan too, but don't see how we get him.

Nogueira is an interesting idea. Really long, energetic guy who plays defense and runs the floor. He'd keep the defensive intensity up when Favors takes a break. He's got that intimidating hair too. He could be a decent rebounder, but he needs to get stronger.

New Chad Ford mock draft is up:

https://insider.espn.go.com/nba/draft2013/story/_/id/9398251/2013-nba-draft-chad-ford-mock-draft-50

14. Lucas Nogueira ("The Jazz have been high on Nogueira for a while...")
21. Dennis Schroeder

He also claims to know that "the team also likes Murray State's Isaiah Canaan -- a lot."

Uh oh, I can already hear the "Why isn't Corbin playing Nogueira over Favors" squealing. If they take him at #14 then they had better stash him until he develops into at least a role player, because he's nothing at this point.

I love Canaan at #46, but hate him at #21. The only game I watched of him was when Nate Wolters destroyed him. Wolters shot over him because he is 4-5 inches taller and on the defensive end bothered him because of his height an length.
Wolters has a slim cjance of being there at #46. If he's there, we better draft him.

Canaan seems strangely slow in his tapes. I'm not sure why. Wolters was blowing by him.

Draft Wolters.

After bringing in 60+ players for workout, this would be such as let down.

I agree. I could only hope Chad is reporting our smokescreen. Give me MCW, or McCollum since you've bragged about the ability to move up.

One of two things will happen:

1 - There will be a run on bigs early. The Jazz will then draft a big at #14.

or

2 - There will be a run on pg's early. The Jazz will take a pg at #14.

If #14 comes and Larkin, Shroeder, MCW, etc are available, I see the Jazz passing on a pg knowing that one of the guys they like will be there at #21.

OR

Shabazz falls to #14 and the Jazz take him.

I don't see the jazz passing on bazz for bebe. I still think and pray that the jazz switch picks with okc. 12, 29 and 32 interest me more than 14, 21 and 54.

I am not a big fan of Bebe and I have cooled on Schroeder so I would be slightly disappointed with that draft.

Why wouldn't the Jazz do the opposite? A run on PG's would mean a decent big would be available at #14. Likewise, if several bigs are taken early, that drops a better PG or wing down to #14.
