With the fake news mantra, Trump speaks his own reality into existence and entrains his true believers. The fake narrative, anchored in victimization. Trump as victim. America as victim. An imperial presidency did not start with Trump, but Trump has far more power then any man like Trump should ever have. And that's a flaw, an authoritarian nationalist can assume power in a democracy by simply beguiling the masses with what they want to hear at a time when they want to hear it.
