Frank the Tank or The anti small ball stategy - Play 3 seven footers who can defend the 3, 4, and 5.

I think Frank can defend the 5 position.
Rudy is fast enough to defend the 4, and 5.
Favors is able to defend the 3, 4, and 5.

Rudy and Favors are great weakside defenders. You can't run the "Squeeze" play when you have 3 seven footer defending.

On the offensive side, you would need to defend all three with a big man or there would be a mismatch in favor of the Jazz. No team in the league would have this depth.

In short, pick Frank the Tank to spread the floor and wreak havoc on the leagues trend to go small ball.

:P :P :P

Once Exum grows to 7 feet, we will just need to find a 7 foot shooting guard. Then, we rule the world.

Giannis "Greek Freak" Antetokounmpo, mother******!

Get it done DL. And to be honest, with what Golden State has done in shifting Draymond Green to center at times makes me really like super athletic, defensive minded players like Stanley Johnson and Myles Turner even more. Dynamic scorers still have to play defense against a team like that. Thankfully, I think they've only got 2 good years left. Too many injury issues between Bogut, Iggy and Curry not to have an issue come up somewhere and with Curry, Green and Barnes needing paydays coming up their bench is going to be spread thin. Plus, they've given up a fair number of assets to put together the team they have right now.

I like your take most of the time, but I think you're likely to be wrong about Myles Turner. I don't think he belongs in the class you've placed him in.

He's my last Tier 2 player. I don't think I'd trade up for him, but I'd probably take him at 12 if he was there. I like his combination of explosive athleticism and 2 way potential. I think that getting more solid defenders is the way to go. I see him as mainly a 5, but I think he can play with both Gobert and Favors in chunks

Isn't that looney dude like 7 foot? Plug him in

Does justice Winslow belong in that group?

I think the OP may be on to something. I've been looking at Dekker at 12 for the Jazz, but I'm starting to think that if the Tank is available, you take him instead. Before the emergence of Kevin Love a few years ago, I had been admittedly down on tall, fundamental American white guys who could shoot -- and there are many disasters that had come into the League to back that up. Several guys since that time have changed my mind.

I think Frank will be a good player in the right system. And even if he's just a decent defender, Rudy and Derrick will have his back. With his shooting ability, post game, ability to hit the 3 and stretch the floor -- on this team -- he might well be the perfect fit. A few other adjustments and I think we have a solid squad next year.

Good post, OP.

Really? Klove?

What about Money Memo?

Why doesn't he get any love on this board? Money Memo was a fantastic white player. Frank actually reminds me a lot of Memo's game. The problem always was that Memo needed to either come off our bench or not play with a guy like Boozer.

Myles Turner is not 'explosively athletic'. Really struggles with lateral movement...I don't know if he can defend other positions. Not sure why people are thinking he can.
