Free agency rumors updates

Pretty high level exec with the Jazz. You can see his picture in the programs.

As far as reliable, I'd say he is close enough to DL's office to over hear things, not close enough to know things.

The two biggest things he has said since December:

The Jazz do not think Exum will ever make it mentally and Hayward was pissed Hill sat out so much.
What's are his thoughts on Hayward staying or going?

George going for Oladipo and Sabonis.

Gotta be more than that.

Wow, talk about out of left field.

Assuming we only have our MLE in FA what position are we targeting? Assuming no trade happens and we retain Hayward and Ingles who do you guys want to target?

If that is our roster still I like Favors but dont trust his health. I would go after a PF.

My list is:
Patrick Patterson (price might be too high with his advanced stats running up)
Nikola Mirotic (I assume MLE would be matched)
Ersan Illyasova (most likely)

I really, really don't think that the Jazz are going to trade Exum. He's still the player on the Jazz, next to Rudy, with the biggest upside and the highest potential ceiling and, from the sound of things, it's beginning to click for him. In fact, I think that the acquisition of Rubio is actually a direct complement to Exum - they know that if Dante shows major progress this year, it's going to lift his price next year in free agency. It appears that the Jazz are trying to do whatever they can to get under the cap this year so that they can go into luxury cap territory next year without penalty - assuming Hayward re-signs.

If Hayward bolts, the Jazz frankly need both Exum and Hood to continue development in order to make up for the loss - their development, along with Rudy and Mitchell, will be the only thing that has the potential to spare the team from entering the 8th-seed treadmill game.

The one to watch, in my opinion, is Favors. Hard for me to imagine that they'd bring in Rubio and the issue that both he and Dante (for now) have with floor-spacing and match them with Favors in the front court. Going to be a fascinating couple of days.

Danny Ainge would not beat an offer of Sabonis and ****ing Oladipo. How can Hayward trust anything Ainge sells to him in the meeting?

Hay should just commit to us at 12:01am

Boston only has their own team to pitch to Hayward and I dont think that is enough to convince him to leave for Boston.

He would have to be pretty bitter about something with Utah to leave now.

Also I think Jazz could have beat that offer for PG but whatever. I think it is a bad trade for OKC unless PG and Westbrook are buddies and want to play together. If PG re-signs and they can get a third star, watch out. Too bad that didnt keep Durant that would be a super team.

The West should get 15 All-Stars. Holy ****.

This is the only real reason Hayward might go East now. There is literally no competition beyond Cavs who probably break up after next year. If Lebron heads West next year this gets silly with how big the gap will be.

Yep. Instead, they'll probably both plan to leave for LA next summer.
