I know its Utah, but maybe theres a chance.....

Alex Kennedy: The Memphis Grizzlies will not issue a qualifying offer to O.J. Mayo, which means he'll become an unrestricted free agent.

Emiliano Carchia: Grizzlies extend qualifying offer to Speights, Arthur, not to Mayo who will be unrestricted free agent https://www.sportando.net/eng/us…

Rick Bonnell: OJ Mayo not getting a qualifying offer (and likely Michael Beasley same) says new NBA CBA starting to work. Teams making hard choices

OJ doesn't interest me much, but here are two things that I like (call them a stretch if you'd like, cuz they kinda are)

1. Can shoot the three, which we need desperately
2. Has played on teams absolutely committed to defense (even though he has looked very lazy during his career).

He is intriguing for sure. He has already grown into a role of coming off the bench and I bet he would be willing to do that in Utah. He makes sense if he comes at the right price.

If i were the Suns, I would let Nash walk and have the backcourt of Marshall and Mayo. Similar size, so they can swap on defense and on offense each makes up for the weaknesses of the other.

Do you think Kendall Marshall is better off checking shooting guards

I like Mayo, but I don't think the Jazz should go after him. Burks and Hayward look to be the main wing players of the future for the Jazz, and I bet Mayo would like to take on more of a role than sixth man if he can get it.

Beasley is now an UFA. Same with Anthony Randolph.

Rashard Lewis has been bought out. He is also an UFA.

The new CBA has changed a lot of things. Teams are shedding what they can when they can.

Rumor from @hornets247:

Was just told that Houston is putting together an offer for Gordon S&T that centers around K.Martin and young players. Will allow Hornets to choose any 2-3 of the following if they are interested: Patterson, Lamb, White, Montiejunas, T.Jones. Doubt Hornets say yes, but they do like Martin. Either way, teams are going to go after Gordon and the Hornets will not get a discount this summer. Will have to pay max or close.

I feel like paying Gordon the max is one of the those things the Hornets will look back on and regret. They pretty much have to do it though.
