should we possibly try to overpay for a good young RFA and hope he leads us to the promised land?

i think overpaying him could work out in our favor, hes battle-tested and ready
 
I like Teague. If we're going to overpay I'd rather shoot higher, but Jeff would be alright.
 
Offer Paul the Max - very long shot; but given Sterling propensity to **** a sure thing, anything is possible.

If that fails, trade up in the draft to get a PG. In the meantime offer Jarrett Jack 3 years 20 mil to run the point while you break in the new guy.

Meh on Teague

Don't want Jennings.
 
great point candrew. i think Teague maybe a better fit than Jennings on the Jazz too. but dont underrate that Jennings is being asked to do too much in Milwaukee and on the Jazz we could just have him just go in cruise control, til we need an ISO bucket or him to break the defense

i much prefer "overpaying" for Jarrett Jack than overpaying for a PG prospect, or to trade up for a PG prospect in this draft
 
I don't like the Jennings idea.
I know this sounds crazy, but I really want a PG that can shoot, but has a pass first mentality.

im not saying that we put all our eggs in one basket, even if miraculously CP3 signs with the jazz i think we should take Schroder at 14.

but paying jennings or teague 14mil wont cripple the jazz, paying cp3 more wont either, infact these guys will make our other assets look better, thats the point!

once upon a time it was thought brandon jennings was the next great floor general from oak hill academy, thats been a factory of NBA pg's throughout the years (including Rondo, Ty Lawson,Rod Strickland... etc )

You guys really want jarret jack???? He plays more hero ball then Mo! I would not want him as a starting point guard. As a back up he is a good option.

srsly seen 6th grade girls play better d than that.

he certainly fades outsometimes, on defense, i think lots of Jazzfanz would prefer Teague as hes much more of an NBA sized player, Jennings is still way too skinny to really defend, Teague is 6'2 180 with wingspan, same size as schroder will be...

at the same time they are probably massacring that team in the vid and respectfully not trying to kill them on defense too, maybe. you see he scored 63 and they sat him with the last 5 minutes, im inclined to believe they were taking it easy at that point
 
i think jennings teague and moreso CP3 could provide us with a Mike Conley type player, plus we have more of a surrounding cast than the Grizz, thats why i made this thread. Spend some $ on a PG, and draft a PG!!!
 
Given the choice of either/or I'd rather use Jack as a place holder instead of overpaying for Teague or Jennings. Jazz aren't going anywhere next year anyway so a guy like Jack gives you the flexibility of developing a young PG or making a trade for another PG at a later date without breaking the bank.
