What's new

Free Agent PG's

Hmm.. yeah still not liking the extra pass Rondo will always have to make to find shooters when Favors/Kanter passes back out.

- Burke is a good shooter
- McCollum is a good shooter
- Schroeder has potential
- Larkin is a good shooter

All these guys seem to be willing passer as well, I think there's enough there for us rather than breaking the bank to get Rondo..

u might be correct but i want to say this

Rondo - McCollum/Burks - Hayward - Favors - Kanter

has plenty of firepower on the perimeter and massive capabilities in Team Rebounding, Steals, Blocks and Assists.

Also Rondo will be demanding top $ for his service, make no mistake about that. With the new CBA the way it is, I think getting legit talent from the draft will be KEY.

The new model will likely be:

- 1 All Star
- 2 Fringe All Stars
- a collection of rookies, cheap contracts

If you're paying top $ for those All Stars & Fringe All Stars, they better be playing like one.

I'm really high on Larkin. Obviously undersized, but I don't see that as a problem for him.
Reminds me of a cross between Ty Lawson and Deron Williams.

rondo could lead the west in assists on this team, and put up some nice rebound and defensive stats too, most importantly W's

i really like the jazz taking Larkin at 21, great value there in my book.. 44 inch vert.. what more could u ask for, he led miami to the ACC championship, bring him in, looow risk, not crazy upside but we dont need to hit a homerun every pick, hes a nice fit

If Lindsey thinks that our PGOTF is available in this draft, get in a position to draft him, and offer LA to take Nash and Gasol off their books. We get the perfect man to tutor our young PG, and a very good PF to play with Favors and Kanter. We might even be able to ship off Marvin to LA in the process. If Howard chooses Houston, this might actually work, as LA could rest Kobe for next season, tank and aim at free agency in 2014 along with a top draft pick.

Agreed with Larkin 100%. Schroeder at #14 and Larkin at #21, we're set at the PG position for years and yearsssssssss.

are we sure we want larkin locked up for 4 years though???

what if we cross our fingers and hope he falls past the knicks and into the 2nd round?

then we can get him on a 2 or 3 year 2nd round contract, you know hes not from a poor family will probably love to be here for a competition with #14 Schroder, plus he can help him adjust to America as rookies together playing the same position

i really like Peyton Siva at #46 who won a national championship, to join Schroder and a FA PG for us to have all new PG's

Jarrett Jack, Schroder, Siva and Burks can play PG too...

this also frees up #21, for my 2 Sleepers late in the 1st, Timmy JR, and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wEusHqqO-XY

Yes I'd be happy to lock up Larkin at #21. I love short guys who are fighters.. they always feel like they have something to prove.

Every team needs a solid 3pt shooting PG off the bench who can also pass and set up his teammates. Brings energy. I think he's purrrrrrrfect.

If anyone is dropping into the 2nd round, it'll be Southerland.

well southerland is in the 2nd round by almost all consensus, but so was Serge Ibaka until late in the process, i like Southerlands chances to sneak up... hes supremely skilled, and not a bad kid

Not very smart though right from what I've heard?

He'll be a steal if we can grab him in the 2nd.

Ahh you guys made up since this morning. Glad to see it though is it me or does hotnickkk post a **** ton more than he used too?

Omg I hate larkin. 2nd round talent turned millionaire in a **** draft.

He led Miami to a #2 seed!!! the ACC championship and the sweet 16, i know they had Kenny Kadji, Durand Scott and Reggie Johnson, but he was the best player... clearly

Greg Miller does look like he swings both ways, maybe he'll give Chris Paul some in the dark dome game, and Dennis Lindsey can be in the corner whispering, "It's Jada Pinkett... It's Jada Pinkett."

"Now sign on the dotted line."

Nasty.

i think CP3 had something to do with Del Negro being fired, and will have even more to say in who gets hired this summer, so i think really the only gettable big $ guy is going to be Jennings, and that maybe a smokescreen

... but we're still 28th in 3pt made this past season.

We were actually 28th in 3pt attempts, 23rd in 3pt makes, and tied for 8th with Houston in 3pt percentage. (LINK) Who's to say if our percentage would have remained as high if we had have taken more attempts.
