Why does everyone capitalize "MAX"?
Just to annoy you.
Why does everyone capitalize "MAX"?
As much as i love me some burks and hayward competes with minutes with burks, i would be thrilled if lindsey pulled this off.
Hayward is a solid player and makes the team better imo. 5 years 58 million is a dream come true contract for the jazz and jazzfanz
The offer is 4 years 63 million from the Hornets? Why would he take less money?
What the hell are you talking about?4 years, 63 million.
Damn thats alot of cheddar..... let him walk
I really really hope we have a sign and trade in the works.
If the Jazz front office think they can fix Michael Kidd-Gilchrist's shot then that maybe the only piece worth trading for.
Might be worth the risk. He is only 20 still. Maybe Snyder can work some magic.
What the hell are you talking about?
You quoted a post of mine about a hypothetical situation that i posted before charlotte ever offered hayward anything
Jarrett Jack and Sergey Karasev to Brooklyn.
Marcus Thornton and Tyler Zeller to Boston (and a pick?)
Cleveland's clearing the way for King James.
I'm a believer (in the return to Cleveland), Lebron, Kyrie, Dion Waiters, Varejao and the Canadians... now thats a team ill bet on...

If LeBron goes back to Cleveland, then Bosh will likely bolt to Houston, making Parsons a very well paid RFA when he gets extended as well. Miami is quickly turning into a dumpster fire if two of the "Big Three" leave. Wanna bet that Miami over-reacts by offering too much to 2nd tier free agents. I'm not surprised that Gordon Hayward got a MAX contract offer, but I am a little surprised that he got it as early in the process as he did. It looks like the whole league is holding their breath waiting to see what James, Melo and Bosh end up doing in free agency.
Obviously his agent must have rung around and there were no takers except CHA.
This again goes to show how little the league regards Hayward as a MAX player.
A biased guess at best. Two of the teams reportedly interested in Gordon Hayward are also pursuing LeBron James. Nobody is going to use their cap space on anybody else if it risks screwing up their pitch to land a superstar like him. I would not have been surprised to see this exact contract offer come a week from now from either Cleveland or Phoenix depending on what happens with LeBron, Melo and Bosh.
I think it's more likely an "a bird in the hand" type of situation. It's possible that another team might have thrown that contract his way, but why risk that free agency turns sideways on you. They had the offer they wanted from a team that he's not opposed to playing for. He gets a boatload of money for the next four years regardless of if he's living in Charlotte or Salt Lake City. There's no telling what other teams might have done once big decisions have been made, but plenty of teams have cap space and guys are getting overpaid this offseason. Simple as that.
It's also not beyond the realm of possibility to have seen the Lakers or Heat jump into the fray as well once other free agency decisions have been made one way or another. I'd be curious to see if people's reactions to the offer sheet would have been the same if the Lakers or Heat had been the team on the other end instead of Charlotte.
Its Hotttnickkk, of course it is a guess. He never has facts to back him up. Just wild assumptions lol.
LOL.. seriously? Speak for yourself. I'm still waiting for that Link that says Jazz FO will match MAX.
They have been provided all over the place. But you knew all of this and just delight in playing uninfomred and delusional.
That point was reiterated again late Tuesday when another person with knowledge of the situation told the Deseret News that Hayward agreeing to a max deal with the Hornets is a "non-issue for the Jazz." In other words, Utah will match. Deseret News -
Jody Genessy: Gordon Hayward agreeing to a max deal w/ Hornets is a "non-issue for the Jazz," per a person with knowledge of situation. Utah will match. Twitter @DJJazzyJod -
Adrian Wojnarowski: Jazz prepared for possibility of max sheet for Hayward and remain unwavering about revelation it's coming: They plan to match and keep him. Twitter @WojYahooNBA
Both would be considered incentives to dissuade the Jazz from matching the sheet, but Utah officials have remained adamant they will match any sheet for Hayward – including a max offer. Yahoo! Sports
So they're all from "person with knowledge of the situation" ???
LOL.. didn't know you can take those as FACTS.
HA!!!! Called it!
So you've got no actual facts, just rumours.
LOL... yeah I DID called it.
