For those unable to attend, the gift will be held in their name for later pickup. The organization has provided annual thank-you gifts to season tickets holders, including autographed jerseys, framed photos and other collectibles in past years. The waffle iron that makes an imprint of the Utah Jazz logo is a unique and creative gift and encourages our fans to 'have breakfast and start their day with us.'"

UPDATE: The Jazz released a statement Wednesday afternoon on their waffle-iron giveaway. Here it is:

Jazz season ticket holders, who can make it to the ESA on Saturday.

Isn't this what we're doing to take our minds off the trade deadline? We'll all make waffle iron threads?

If you can't make it on Saturday, they will hold your waffle iron for you.

Well, that's how I discovered it--looking at the Trib website for any trade info.
 
Though I live in Massachusetts, I will most definitely be purchasing season tickets in order to acquire this artifact.

A worthy investment. I'll be happy to make sure your tickets don't go to waste, assuming you'll be selling them at deeply discounted prices.

Both my father in law and his son have season tickets, they don't need two waffle irons, so they asked if instead of the waffle iron they could get an old Keith Mcleoud T-shirt from the discount bin. The Jazz said sorry--No Trades allowed.
