Not a true competitor, obviously...
Also:
Harrison Barnes
James Harden
Blake Griffin
Al Horford
Joakim Noah
Carmelo Anthony
Some pretty competitive dudes on that list who didn't improve their draft stock much by staying an additional year.
No, but he could have entered the NBA draft straight out of high school, and competed against the best.Carmelo stayed past his freshman year?

Tim Duncan.
Including Utah. If Utah misses out on the draft this year and makes no moves inf ree agency and is right back in the lottery hunt then that is a worst case scenario. A wasted year imo.
If this guy really does go back to school then I don't want him. I just don't think that's what a true competitor does. True competitor is eager to compete at the highest level possible (NBA), not against the weaker competition of the NCAA.
I mean if you look at the past NBA winners, LeBRon, Kobe, Garnett - these guys didn't even go to college, and yet they compete hard for the NBA title because let's face it who really cares who wins the NCAA each year?
Better extend Corbin for another season. And sign some more veterans like JLIII.
Not questioning PKM's source here. But similar rumors swirled around Kevin Durant when he was at Texas.
I think the system as-is forces you out if you're any good. There are some exceptions (Marcus Smart), and not saying it would be a bad move on Jabari's part, but I would be very surprised by this.
Maybe won of his goals is to win a ncaa chip and play with his friend Jahil....way to bash a kid for maybe not chasing money right away. Yet you wonder why Utah isn't a free agent destiny????LMAO
I want to **** on this thread, tbghy.

I think tanking is an entirely sensible strategy when your odds of hitting on a primary offensive (or defensive) player are better than usual (like this year) and/or if you do it for just one year. This is the year. If the Jazz blow this chance, they shouldn't try again. That's where a team gets on the path of a perennial bottom-feeder.

this is true in our case. We have the perfect scenario working for us. All we need to do is do it for 1 year. But not doing it might turn out to be a mistake. Looking back 10 years from now this year could look pretty pivotal in how the franchise is shaped.
