Guys

a little about Raul Neto (called RAULZINHO in Brazil), one of our best basketball prospects of last 5 years.

i'm from Brazil, and i i'm watching him since 2009, that year he played the first time for a professional team here in Brazil on brazil national league (NBB) for Minas Tenis (team), in 2010 he was called by Brazil national team Ruben Magnano to play the FIBA World Championship in Turkey, to get some experience with the group.

In 2011 he went to Europe to play for Lagun Aro on ACB (best national league of that continent), and this last season he played more and got improved his basketball, but he is not ready to play huge minutes on NBA. Last year he played a little in olympics for Brazil. He need maybe 1 or 2 years to get more experience.

He have a great court vision, ball handling, speed.

his worst part of game is the 3 point shot (like Rubio, Kidd), he was really bad on this fundament 3 years ago, but he is improving.

hope see him in NBA this season, at least to play 10 minutes per game.

Raul is a nice guy don't have problems off court, his dad is a big fan of Jazz and Stockton, i think he is at right place to play.

I wonder if his success is at least, in part, because of being a multi-sport player. Men's tennis is known to promote forearm strength.

Good stuff. Thanks. Hopefully he will have a nice long career here in Utah.

I agree with stashing him for 1-2 more years. Not only for his development but so Burke can have a vet to practice with and get advice from. Have two rookie pgs doesn't make a ton of sense to me. Yes we want to lose but we also want to develop the talent we have.

You know all about forearm strength.... with your dominant hand, at least.

This post brought to you by the makers of lube.

I thought PKM was a switch hitter.

Thank you. You should make him wiki page more better: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Raul_Neto

So, um, Raul isn't a rookie.....

He is already a pro player with a pro contract for Spain. That's why he looks good in summer league. He may not have as high a ceiling as Burke, but he is ready now. Actually, it would and will be a good combo, their games are different enough to be a change of pace, yet they both have what the Jazz need, which is running a pick and roll offence.

I called this earlier today in the game thread.

I didn't know that. I think I'll start play some tennis. LOL.

You saw right! the 3 point shot is the worst part of his game, but I think this is not a problem to be a good player in NBA.

Thank you. You should make him wiki page more better: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Raul_Neto

thats a good idea... maybe I will make some changes on that page.. :)

Thanks for the insight. We're excited to have him here. Can't wait to see him contribute, whether this year as a #2-3 PG or in a year or two.
