Rudy 5.1
Noel 4.8

Rudy is on the verge of cracking the top 20 for the season in defensive win shares. Rudy is at 2.9. 5 players are tied at 3.0 for 16th-20th. The average amount of minutes played by those in the top 20 is 2045. Rudy had played 1531 minutes.

Someone quoted this in the Rockets game thread, but as Kevin Pelton tweeted, the Jazz are undefeated when Rudy salutes!

Rudy also leads the league in plays that get me off my couch and scream like a little girl. This is according to basketball-reference.com

After todays game Utah has the only frontcourt that has 100 blocks each this season. Rudy has 151 which is 2nd in NBA and Favors has 103 which is tied for 10th.

I updated the OP with the most recent game. I will try to do that the rest of the season to see how Rudy progresses.

BTW he is averaging over 15 rebounds over the last 11 games. I think a full season of between 13 and 16 board average is very plausible.

Rudy is the first NBA Darling we've had in a long, long time.

Which was the last? Or was there even any? I'm pretty sure the Jazz are a franchise that the entire league's other teams authorities and fanbases try to stay either mocking towards, or grow jealous of. Rudy's presence is so sweet that many cannot carry on the Jazz hate anymore.

Km had two MVPs and handfulls of ASGs, first team NBA selections, finals appearances, dream team spots, etc. That's about as favored as you can get, but as far as public likeability... I think you're right. Rudy is definitely the golden child at the moment.

Rudy also leads the entire NBA by a mile in "PNPG" at 25.3
Proposed Nicknames per game.

I like the current knick-names for Rudy just fine, so naturally I must submit one of my own. Rudy reminds me of nothing more than a Spider. So I call him Les Araignee (AH-Ron-Yay)

It is interesting to me that Rudy has gained so much national love. I don't quite understand it.
