What's new

Gabriele Procida

Maybe that's why Jazz gave up one pick this year
They may want to bring Procida over
I believe he signed a 3 year deal last July, so no, I dont think the plan is to bring him over yet. Would make more sense to wait til he is pretty seasoned and the team is developed/set in it's rotations and needs to add some depth.

I can’t find anything about him signing a new contract last year. He signed a 3 year deal with his current team in 2022, which means that if he hasn’t signed a new contract since then he’ll be free to come over with no buyout for 2025.

I’d definitely expect them to bring him over next year if that’s the case.

Yeah, I cant either, but it was mentioned in an article when we traded for him, but maybe that person was referring to the 2022 extension, but when they said it they made it seem like it happened recently.

  • In 2022, Procida signed a three-year contract with Alba Berlin of the Basketball Bundesliga

I vaguely remember discussing that the Jazz should’ve just bought out his last year and have him come over this past summer, but he was still rehabbing his injury at the time. I think the argument was that the injury would allow the team to get a deal on his contract, but they might just be fine having no buyout and another year of data to work with. I’m assuming they’ve given him assurances that they’re going to bring him over to avoid a contract extension and everyone is just planning on his next move being a jump to the NBA. All in all, I’m excited about his potential.

I would bet they try and bring him over this offseason or next.

He's shooting 42% from the field, including 23% from three this year. This is not a step up from what he did last year.
