Game #1: Jazz vs Mavericks, 10/31/12 - 7:00 PM MST - Root Sports, 1280 AM/97.5 FM

I don't hate Foye. He belongs on the court. Tinsley is the one that I hate. He is slow, turns the ball over, doesn't play defense and can't shoot. Why is he playing again?
Because he is a veteran. That is pathetic.

Because neither Foye nor Burks are point guards.

Jazz ahead by 20 and there's nothing but bitching going on in here. I love it!

We were getting ripped at the half. I'm ok if our wings don't get time since they have not demonstrated to me that they have earned the time over the vets., i.e., that they are even equal to them. It's not the certain with the bigs since Favors and Kanter are such a great defensive pair and adequate on offense.

Foye shoots WAY too much and does little else. Burks hasn't yet shown to be an effective distributor and floor captain, and realistically, he has no future as a PG. So no, Foye shouldn't be playing.

Huge rebound differential-- 61:40. Interior defense was good, even Jefferson was playing some when he was in. Then we had the 3s to break the game open. Mavs couldn't get inside, couldn't get clean looks, and couldn't match our pace.

Jefferson did pick up the D in the second half. But that's only because he played absolutely no D in the first. Elton Brand, who has the body of a 50 year old, broke him down twice. Zero help D but I don't ever bother looking for it from him anymore.

AJ played only 29 minutes - which is about what he should be getting per game. No excuse for not bringing it the whole game.

I disagree, Foye had a pretty good all around game tonight 13-3-3.
I understand the frustration about his lack of playing time though, I would have mixed the lineups up a little bit, I would rather see burks and foye in, over tinsley and foye. There is really no reason for tinsley to get almost 20 minutes. Carroll getting 16 minutes baffles me a bit too. He does good things when he is on the floor, but I think Burks adds more to the game than he does.

Right, Foye did play solid ball the second half. But when Foye is playing for another team next year and we're still trying to figure out what Burks is all about, the organization will have no one to blame but themselves.

They're probably thinking of signing him long term and shipping Burks. Why would you have a player that doesn't play on your roster like Burks? Mind you, this is their thought process, not mine.

I hear you. The one thing I've gathered about how Corbin is running things is about how players have to earn their minutes, I think Foye earned his tonight, and I don't think Burks got the chance to earn his in this game. So I don't fault Corbin for playing Foye the amount he did given his philosophy on dividing up minutes. I think there were opportunities for Burks to get in the game though, at the expense of Tinsley and Carroll rather than Foye, playing Hayward at the three and Burks at the 2 for example, I don't think Hayward got enough burn either tbh.

We humiliated the Mavs on the boards.

I can't believe we got Marvin Williams for Harris.

We're a very deep team - this is going to be the most fun Jazz season since the late-1990s.

It may be The Mailman just being The Mailman; but the other day on NBATV Karl Malone said Burks should be the starting PG for The Jazz. With Mo Williams starting at the 2.

Foye giving props to the fans for supporting them. Good way to endear yourself.

Definitely an interesting idea, Hayward off the bench last year was dynamite.

Is the downgrade of Foye as point guard equal to Tinsley? Certainly an argument to be made for it. But Foye is so much better with the ball not in his hands. Can't wait for Watson to get back.

Watson?! is he really any better?.... i mean honestly... i dont like tin, but i dislike watson just as much...
