What's new

Game 1: Utah Jazz @ Los Angeles Lakers, 8:30 p.m MT..Game Thread

-Millsap clearly rusty in his first game-action of the year. Normally a good help-defender - I counted 3 instances in the 2nd-qtr he was late in rotations.

-Offensively we barely have any of our offense put in - and the basic sets we do have in we're not coming close to executing. It's one thing to push the tempo and take quick shots - but it makes no sense to take that approach when you have poor shooters taking quick jumpshots. Our players aren't even close to trusting the offense, and they stop and watch...gotta keep moving, keep screening.

-Josh Howard looks like a volume scorer who was just signed less than 2 weeks ago.

-No idea why Ty decided to go small on the Lakers final possession of the half. Put Evans in as a PF and when Kanter left to help Gasol easily rebounded over Evans and Hayward for the putback at the buzzer.

I do not understand so many upset fans here, it is very young team, we did not have normal training camp or enough preseason games to get any kind of chemistry. Of course we look awful now. And it will be like that most of the season. Just enjoy youngsters and their growing pains now, wins will come after couple years... hopefully.

+1

Love that Barkley just ripped Corbin's game plan!!!! LOL!!! Corbin is a laughing stock!! Jazz really sold us out by hiring him and extending him. Lets start a petition or something.
I guess it's no accident you didn't hear Ty saying he was telling the team to get out and run and was displeased that they aren't.

Well he is right. The only way young teams can win is by running. This is the Lakers 3rd game in 3 nights. we should be running them to death. Harris and Hayward should be putting unrelenting pressure on them. Combine that with the Millsap benching, and Corbin has been a lot of epic fail.

Favors did pick up two quick fouls but would've been nice to see him get more time in the 2nd Qtr but he gave up that aly-op to McRoberts and I think got yanked shortly after.
Not excusing Jefferson as he's missing easy shots but then so is EVERY player on the Jazz right now and why aren't they getting their own missed shots?

Watson sucks big time. Played too long behind Deron I quess -- has no clue how to push the ball. Ty needs to try Tinsley if has to take Harris out.

And as bad as Kanter was putting the damn ball into the basket, I had to keep hunting for Millsap to even find him on the floor. Now there's a pro giving effort for ya.

Are people really only seeing what they want to see? Blame Corbin for that last possession to end the half where Evans and Hayward got out rebounded by Pau but not for the PLAYERS not running, I'm betting that is why he used as many players nobody was executing offense or defense and nobody was getting out and running so he thought he would try to see if anybody would.

So far it was embrassingly sloppy. But I won't make certain conclusions until we play significant amount of games.

And very first, lets see how we'll do in the rest of the game.

Yeah I bet if he would've started he would've came out like gang busters and not the pile of steaming crap that he and ALL the players are playing like

kinda getting tired i mean how many times do i have to hear about kobe's knee ankle wrist.

if he si injured he should not play dont mention it half the time
