Game #13 Oklahoma City Thunder at Utah Jazz Monday 23 Nov 2015 @ 7:00pm Mtn (Early bird GT)

I think we played really good defense on Durant. It sounds hilarious after all those 4th qtr points but this is the truth.
Don't you think Hayward is a better on ball defender than ever? He surprises me sometimes.

Another bitter loss :(
Assuming we'll be0-2 vs okc and sas We should go 3-0 against denver phoenix and new orleans.

I agree about durant and hayward

I just wonder how long Snyder stays with Hood and Neto in the starting 5. Either Burks or Burke needs to start(really both). Hood can't shoot(surprisingly) and neither can Neto. They are hurting Favors and Hayward especially Favors since he needs space to work in the post.
Yep

Interesting news tidbit: The Utah Jazz are considering re-signing point guard Toure' Murry from the Texas Legends, according to a source.

Hmm

He is probably better than Neto. I mean, how could you really be worse than Neto right now? I guess if you just turned the ball over constantly, but Murry is at least a big guard who can play NBA defense.

Raul Neto and Tibor Pleiss are the things that are wrong with DL and Quin. DL wants to find these diamonds in the rough and Quin has too much confidence in his ability to coach. These are not diamonds in the rough and Quin can't turn (this much) **** into gold.

Also, **** Steven Adams. He only got 4 rebounds but it felt like he got 10 with how physical he plays down low off-ball (as in, fouling the **** out of everyone constantly).

The ****ty thing is that if we had been shooting from deep like we have been lately, this would have been a win. Forget the FT's, if Burks/Hood/Burke actually sink some 3's like they have been (well not Hood, but Burke/Burks) then we probably win also.

Lyles has obviously done some serious work on his celebrations lately btw. For all those wondering early in the season what his nba skill is, look no further.

Exactly, and all those 3's Hood missed were open shots. When he's missing like that, he needs to go inside and do his turnaround pull up jumper.

Do you think his ceiling is Robert Sacre or is that wishful thinking?

It depends on quin tbh. If he's the man we all believe he is, then he can be great. But if by this time next year he is what he is now, I say we look at other options.

Postgame #energywatch

Trey Burke: "Comin' out, you know, with a lack of concentration. I think that's something we've been battling with for a while now. It just has to be a conscious effort to focus and understand what we need to do when we start the game."

Gordon Hayward: "We gotta start better..." Said it's disappointing that it's becoming like a broken record that they're starting poorly.
GH: "The difference in the game was the beginning, coming out flat . . . That to me was the difference."

Quin Snyder: "If we could just be a little more urgent at the start it'll put us in a better position over the course of the game to not have to fight so hard to get back into the game"

Did you see the replay? A Thunder player ran into him and pushed him out of the way. Harpring pointed it out.

My point was why not stick with one of the best FT shooters in the league instead of trying to switch. The last person in that situation you want with the ball is Durant. He has to know that and regardless of what's the "plan" stay with KD to deny him the ball.

I went and looked at the play by play in the last 5 minutes of the 4th quarter.

Burks had two field goal attempts.... made a two point shot and missed a three.

Hayward had zero attempts.

Favors had zero attempts.

The Thunder are taking a page straight out of the New England Patriots' textbook:

Be as physical and grabby as possible. Let the referees define the line of what's permissible, and then adjust to the whistle if necessary. But always push the boundaries in this facet of the game.

I don't disagree with this approach, but NBA (and NFL) referees need to be better.

(Lifelong Pats fan, btw. So I'm definitely repping this approach).

One thing we have in common.
