Pelicans won THREE straight games, including a win over the Spurs and two wins in a row over the Suns before losing to the Clippers last night. They started the season 1-11 after going to the playoffs last year and being considered a top contender for one of the last few playoff spots in the West. Anthony Davis went down in the Clippers game and is questionable for the game tonight.

Gordon Hayward had a season high 33 points in the game against the Clippers. He was the team leader in points going into the game, but had not been playing up to the level he was at last year. 14 of his 33 points came in the pivotal 4th quarter, including a 3-pointer that put the Jazz up by 17pts and sealed the win. The Jazz play 14 of their next 19 games at home.

Haha.. yeah I know, it can be tough to have 1 every year. Just wears you out the amount of preparation you have to do. Also a bit hard to really enjoy it while trying to make sure everything's in order, everyone's happy, etc...
 
BTW - it's amazing what a win and an amazing game thread can do to your confidence as a Jazz fan (not for the faint hearted).

Did that poker hand come up in a game you were playing? Aren't they supposed to be using only one deck? I've never done that sort of online betting, and I don't think I ever will. It seems like it would be so easy for the house to cheat you.

This is the second of a back to back on the road for the Pelicants. Very winnable game. Let's get some momentum going into the game against GS.

This. Being the 1st team who beats GS would be such a morale booster for this squad. Let's see if we can start breaking away from the teams who have a negative record, never to get near them again this season.
