Game #25. Jazz returns to Te land of wretched hovels. Jazz at Pelicans 12/16/14 6pm Mtn

Ok
But the poster I quoted was acting like the reason we are losing is because we are playing Burke and burks big minutes.

My point was that we are going to lose alot no matter who is in the line up

Yeah I agree with that. I was just digressing.

Dumbasses who root for losses. Yeah let's become a perennial top draft pick team and watch how our picks go to better pastures. I'd want my *** out of here to go to a team with a winning culture. This board doesn't cease to amaze me. Night losers.
But see the thing is, it's makes no difference if you, me, or anyone else on this board roots for wins or losses... it doesn't effect the team or how they play.

Might as well be happy that we will get a better pick rather than be pissed off

I don't agree with shaking too much the lineup down the stretch. Ok, Booker was playing well offensively but in my opinion Kanter and Gobert had to play the last 5-6 minutes and I would have kept Exum on the court at the end.

Gobert and Kanter needed some rest. It really hurts having Favors out.

I don't want to see Ingles and Clarke. And yes, because they'd be passing to Hayward, Kanter, and Favors like the current starting guards should be doing, and they wouldn't be getting destroyed every time down the court on defense. Burke and Burks chucking and getting beat so bad on defense loses games.

edit: Did not read question carefully enough. I did not mean to imply Jazz would "win a bunch of games" by replacing Burke and Burks. I meant that playing them big minutes greatly increases the probability of us losing.
Agree to disagree

i think what he's trying to say is that burke and burks playing big minutes particularly closing out with such poor defense and being unable to get and or hit good shots pretty much gives us little to no chance of winning games

Exum's TO's and blown layup to end his playing time stint is what started the Pelican's run.

Your point being ?? he was talking about things in broader terms ..... defensive liabilities don't win many games. Merely an observation of what we're stuck with atm

Burke started the game on fire, then left us with cold ashes in the 4th. 1 assist and 5 turnovers ain't what we need from our starting point guard.

Our defense sucks. Why do we always let 3 pt bigs go off? Kleuza, anderson, Red Rocket, etc?

And why did we stop feeding Kanter?

I think we can't blame too much about the Jazz defense tonight...the only thing is that we don't run enough to defend fast-breaks.
Ryan Anderson was on fire nailing 3s all night long and most of his shots were contested too and Davis played as usual. Austin Rivers has been a factor for their come back too.

We made too many mistakes down the strech because of inexperience and we lost. We have to learn to close the games!

Snyder should manage better the timouts...I noticed bad timing when the Pelicans made their run at the end....or maybe we are really tanking.

Anyway, we played a very good road game!

was thinking the same thing. If he attack the rim instead of shooting weird lay up and draw foul, the game could've had different outcome

The Jazz gave up 41 points in the 4th quarter. We can absolutely blame the defense.

Would've been helpful to go through Hayward/Kanter down the stretch instead of Burke/Burks, sure, but the defense was the main problem.

Again this team fights, this team is doing stuff they just fall short against some good teams. I hope they just can keep their spirits up during all that losing.

Now let's go to south beach and keep your heads high!

Go Jazz!

This notion of us being close is nice but it's a naive narrative. The great teams in the west don't have very good players, they have great players, and oftentimes elite players. OKC with Durant and Westbrook. LA with Paul and Griffin. Golden State with Curry and Thompson. Memphis with Gasol, Randolph and Conley. And on and on. We're so, so far away.

Negged.

So what can we get for Kanter in a trade?

It seems like his trade value is steadily rising. I have liked how Kanter has looked as of late, but is re-signing him good for the long-term? I'm not sure.

it's not.. he just will not become anything close to complete scorer. Pimp him on the curt and trade his skankay.
