Game 44 - Pacers at Jazz 7:30 MST, Root Sports

I think Corbin is playing Burks one game and Carrolle the next. It'll be Burks next game and I think his minutes will be based off how good he does. Carolle played really well today so he got extended minutes.

I wish this were true, but burks was given 3 minutes in which he took 1 shot with the shot clock expiring and then never came back in.

remember when we could enjoy coming to jazzfanz after a win.

I always enjoy coming to jazzfanz, after wins or losses.

And like i have said before..... it is possible to enjoy a win, and still be able to say good AND bad things about the win.

Again. Hayward made 3 dumb plays in last minute

Part is coaching. Hayward had been on the court 15 mins straight. That is long for anyone. This is why he needs to star so that he plays starters minute patterns

My .02

Maybe so, but the refs were absolutely ridiculous. Hayward was REPEATEDLY getting fouled and the refs refused to call anything. Plus, at the end, almost every turnover, except the one Hill slapped the ball away from behind, was caused by a foul that they didn't call.

What is with this refereeing? They call touch fouls during most of the game but when comes to aggressive contact at the end of a close game they let it go?

We all do obviously. Everyone loves it. That's why they continue to come back.

Did earl Watson really play the finall 3 minutes of the 3rd Qtr, all of the 4th and all of the overtime? I know he made some hustle plays but his inability to dribble the ball up also caused some problems. 19 minutes is a long stretch for a guy who doesn't play alot.

going into a timeout I saw corbin chewing out tinsley. It was shortly after a jazz steal, tinsley led the break, tried to go to the middle--there was nothing there but Al was wide open from 17-ft left for a jump shot. the pacers came down and scored and then they had a time-out Corbin was still pointing to the offensive end and chewing on Tinsley. Tinsley went out shortly after that and never came back in.

I agree with some of the things Corbin did with Tinsley.
But he and any coach should have told Tinsley to get himself ready cause you going right back in on the next break.
Tinsley thus gets the point and can redeem himself immediately.
This seems to be the right way to handle mistakes.

It was a back/back game though, and Tinsley is old as ****. Maybe Corbin thought Tinsley didn't have enough stamina to finish the game out.

that's exactly right - Tinsley performance falls off a cliff when he's asked to play heavy minutes.

I'm not sure what the big deal was anyway - it was easily Watson's best game of the season.

Agreed. I thought two of those weren't his fault...being caused by fouls and/or people not being able to get where they were heading (because of a foul). I really think G-Hay needs to be a bigger part of the offense. I think good things would happen for him and the team. He's a good facilitator but could also put more points up if he had a bigger role.
