Game #54. Jazz at Blazers

Burke worry factor going waaay waay up. He seems like an iffy backup player at best. Has seemed that way for a while. His shooting % might get to like 34% by end of season LOL. I think we still look for PG in this draft if Jabari and peeps are gone.

You think we would draft a other PG? After already investing in Neto and Burke?

how can you judge a pointguard, without seeing him in an offense. so far we have not seen him on offense.
just hayfense and vetfense
 
Kanter is a bad defender right now, but it does not help that every opponent gets into the paint that easily. Damn, go and defend the ****n parameter.

We just need to give it some time. He'll need to work on getting stronger. Take Lillard for example, they are about the same dimensions, but Lillard has worked his butt off in the gym and is able to get into the paint easier. He'll learn about his shot selection this year as a rookie and probably needs to learn how to be a little more creative. Plus with a better coach he'll be able to improve.
 
Anyone notice how Kanter got 3 assist? Had no idea he had that many. What his highest single game total?

The whole jazz team is a bad defender, which like you said puts more pressure on Kanter which makes him look worse. This team needs some discipline from their coach.

Yeah. It also hurts that Burke is giving up 1 on 1 penetration to Lillard. Lillard is getting where he wants with either pick n' roll or ISO's.

Maybe its really about Corbin. Look at BIG-AL, for Jazzfans he was the worst defender on planet. But right now he is playing for one of the best defensiv teams in the league. Maybe it´s about Corbins system, which has to develop ?
