Game 7 vs Clippers Press Conference

OL u have a way too overactive imagination ...
Don't read too much into anything he says.
We're taking the Warriors to 7 and he's re-signing. Relax

After the Stayward thing and this interview does Hayward sound like a bloke that wants to stay or does he sound like a bloke that is moving to Boston but wants to thank the fans? I can't decide so i'm just going to sit right on the fence.

I think he's leaning towards staying. Why? Because he reached deep inside his soul and reminisced about him and Favors and the time they started off together. He didn't need to 'go there', but he did. He didn't have anything to gain from it but he still did it. That tells me he's on 'this side' of the fence.

I like how Favors reacted. He's like 'you prove it to me brah, word is cheap'. Because remember, before this, Hayward had made no indication one way or the other. This is the first indication that I know of. So it would have been normal for Favors to be skeptic about what Hayward was saying.

To me this tips the scale of Hayward staying to 70/30.

CP3 hugged Quin and wished him luck on the podium.

CP3 to Utah in the summer confirmed!

Quite a different situation I think. CP3 and Quin didn't have a long history together. So the hug is really lacking much meaning.

Favs and Hayward on the other hand has a long history together. So for Hayward to 'draw out' that 'memory' at a time like this (i.e., merely months before Free Agency), that's HUGE. Why? Because to draw out that memory and then in 2-3 months turn around and sign with the Celtics is effectively saying '**** you' to that said memory. And that's just cruel. And Hayward by all account is not a cruel man.

It would be like you broke up with your Ex, and after 6 months just as you've gotten over her she comes around to your house and say she needed you. Then the next morning she walks out on you again leaving without saying goodbye. That would also be cruel.

Paul is such a punk on the floor, but he is soooo damn good. Classy in post game interviews.

When asked about what the Clippers need to do in the offseason he snapped at the reporter with 'That's not my job'.

I think that's exactly where he's wrong. In this day and age you need to be active in getting the players you think you need to win... i.e., the way Draymond recruited the heck out of Durant and finally got him.

If CP3 is serious about making out of the 2nd round he'd better stand up and pay attention to what's going on rather than sitting on his hands and say 'that's not my job'.

can u try not being an evil genius??

Yes, CP3 and his antics are annoying. But that is because he plays against us. I see it the same way I see Ingles. We love hos rough head games. But if he was a Clipper doing that to Hood we'd hate him. CP3 influencing refs, getting superstar calls and getting into peoples heads in Jazz uniform would be amazing.

Gobert/Withey
Favors/Bolomboy/Lyles
Hayward/JJ
Hood/Ingles
CP3/Exum/Neto

Warriors would be in lots of trouble.

Disagree that he and Ingles are similar. Ingles gets up in your business, but he isn't a whiner. It is the way CP3 carries himself that I can't stand. Punching another player in the nuts at Wake Forest, etc. That does not take away from the fact that he is a very good player. One thing that he does really well is slip screens, I was impressed how well he does that. Our point guards should watch some tape of CP3 defending the pick and roll. He is great at anticipating and slipping over screens.
