Game #76 Jazz & Nuggets at ESA 7pm Tickets are cheap.

The first half was decent. The second half was the disaster known and Ty Corbin and his vets.

I missed most of the second half, but watched the final minutes. Harpring was pretty harsh on the vets in the closing seconds. He said it was not up to the coach to get them to play with hustle, intensity and urgency. He also complimented Burks and Carrol and the group that closed the game for showing some fight. Pointing out that they were able to close the gap, and wondering what would have happened if the starters had played with similar intensity or what might have been if Corbin had subbed in the Burkes/Carrol group earlier. Yep Matt, we all wonder.

I don't get why some people are surprised at the vets not showing motivation or hustle.

There's a reason why most of our team are a bunch of journeymen and disappointments. Most of them haven't sniffed the playoffs/haven't succeeded in he playoffs.

You can't make chicken soup out of chicken ****.

There's a season why big al has been traded so often. Why Paul really isn't a starter on most playoff teams. Why mo has been passed around like Special cigs from Colorado. Why foye just hasn't really found a home. Why Atlanta gave us Marvin for crap.

Although I am a critic of Corbin, I don't see how this loss was his fault. He, for example, had nothing to do with Mo and Foye shooting 3-21 between them. He tried different lineups, etc. Favors didn't do so well either. The Jazz, as team, just didn't play well and got beat by what is, frankly, a better team. Sometimes teams just don't play well, for whatever reason. Again, I'm as critical of Corbin as the next person, but sometimes the criticism of him here does go a bit overboard.

He played them way too many minutes. Burks/carrol where ready

Some were praising Mo on this little winning streak, but didn't it seem like he sucked bad against 37 year old Andre Miller last night?

sigh.....

Imagine a Jazz with no vets. It's easy if you try.
No Al below us, above us only Ty.
Imagine the Jazz playing as one unit, oh oh o o o.
You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one.
I hope some day Wolf, Franklin, and the rest of the blind join us.
And jazzfanz can live as one.

Wolf will change his mind when the FO tells him to.

Too me the problem is that he played them too long. I get playing them more than 15 minutes since they had been playing well lately, but at 8 minutes or so in the 3rd it was obvious they didn't have it that night, yet Foye played until about 4 minutes left in the 3rd and Mo played until sometime late too (the trouble with nba.com is they don't differentiate between Mo or Marv when they say Williams was substituted and I forgot exactly when it happened).

I'm also critical of Ty for going away with Burks being the backup 1. He did fine in that role, and is much better than having Tinsley out there. Is that his future role? No, but it wouldn't hurt him to have it now since he's the best option and it would have him be more versatile in his later career.

Honestly I'd be way less of a Ty critic if he didn't inherit the same mindless "we play subs at exactly these minutes" philosophy that Jerry had. It was my massive complaint about Jerry. Unfortunately Ty doesn't have the other skills that Jerry brought to the table to compensate for it. Jerry would bench gold brickers even if they were vets.
