What's new

Game 79 - Jazz vs Grizzlies - 4/10/15 7 PM Mountain Time

Agreed, and now he is 4th at best, maybe 5th behind Hood. Gonna be interesting to see what he brings next year.

What's really awesome is that any time I've heard the players talk lately they are excited about what this team has going for it in the future. Sounds like they are all happy to have other talented players on the team. Hopefully it's not just talk and these guys are willing to help the other guy succeed so that this team can reach it's potential. I'm really excited to see what happens next year.

I'm glad they lost. One, for a better draft pick.

Two, maybe this summer, when Gordon is debating to shut down his video games or not, this loss will be the extra motivation to shoot a couple more, push a little harder, even if for just a minute or two.

This was a really, really good loss. Lets the players know that we are almost there, but not quite good enough yet. There is still a TON of improvement to be made if we are a playoff team next year.

Agree on the first point, but not on the second. Hayward has consistently been one of the hardest working players for the Jazz. His improvement year to year has been huge. If he wants to play video games instead of taking his smoking hot wife out on the town in his downtime, then more power to him.

My god, how I love the salute

****'in A. Oh hells yes. The best thing to happen to the Jazz in years. One day it will be called the MVP Salute. Then it will be the Championship Salute. Then just the Jazz Salute as it becomes part of Jazz lore for ****ing ever.

Gotta love it baby!!

RIP Hot Rod...how we loved you bro.

Hot Rod would've loved the Salute.

MEM coach Dave Joerger with praise for the Jazz: "I think without a doubt, with the talent they have, they'll be in the playoffs next year."

If you cleanly block a shot and then hit the players hand on the follow through then it's not a foul. You see it all the time, though mostly on low post shot attempts. So if that's a good call then there are at least a dozen bad calls a game.

Totally agree on Hayward. My understanding is works out almost every day doing formal training schedules.

I would much rather have him play video games (or his wife) in his downtime than hitting the bars, getting shot, etc... like other NBA players.

I give Hayward a lot of credit, he has really earned his stripes and I do not think the NBA respects him as they do other players of much less talent.

He is too wholesome for the NBA...pretty sad actually....

That was easily a foul with the standards NBA refs have given us now. I see fouls on shots where a guy gets his fingernails grazed constantly.

What about the play where Carter rammed Hayward in the midsection, no call, Hayward to the deck.

Cheap shot should have been a T

I'm behind as I recorded the game. 6:00 minutes left in the 4th.

But damnit I really like Cotton, Evans and Millsap. I want all three on the team next year. Give them a million each and have them as end of benchers.

Can't help it. They just play their hearts out and Id reward them. Trade them if they help the team but I'm rooting for them.

another thing I love about the salute...... Rudy seems to have a good feel for when to bust it out. He doesn't just salute the normal dunks or blocks, he knows not to over-use his salute.... he uses it at the proper times. When he does something sports center top ten worthy and stuff that really really gets the fans out of their seats.
