What's new

Game Of Thrones

Kind of a meh episode overall.

Loved the scene with Sam and his family, that was pretty tough for Sam, but I'm glad he got the balls to stay with his girl/son and steal his dad's sword. I was kind of hoping he would just kill his dad at the table.

Glad Arya's story is getting some progress, looking forward to her showdown with the other girl.

Ya I normally hate sam and gilly scenes but last night it was done well.

I always love danys scenes and last night was no different for me.

Good thinking. Repped. Kinda big spoilers below.

I read that coldhands will not be on the tv show. I read that benjen stark will be coming to rescue bran. Also read that The Hound is going to make an appearance this season. And The Brotherhood will feel his wrath
So far the first two of these spoilers was correct.

The episode felt really really short.

Awesome seeing Danny on her now huge dragon.

Looks like Riverrun is the place to be. Looks like all sorts of major players are going to end up there. Could we see a Brienne vs Jamie showdown?

So the Coldhands dude isnt a human anymore, right?
Coldhands doesn't exist on the show I don't think.
In the book there is a mystery dude named coldhands (He rides an elk iirc) that helps bran get to the three eyed crow.
In the show the dude you are thinking of is brans uncle benjen stark. And I think you are right that he isn't entirely human.... But isn't entirely white walker either.

I think it's pretty well understood coldhands is Jon Snow's Uncle.

Yeah, I think both Stark and Snow have died, that's why they are no longer part of the night's watch.

Makes sense

To be fair, I haven't read the books. I wouldn't be able to handle it if someone else finished the story. It's like the Dark Tower. I've wanted to read it since the 80's but couldn't because who knew if King would finish it. I found out he finished it last year and now I'm reading them. Hopefully I can read GOT someday.

So, what I'm saying is that my GOT knowledge is from an article or two and watching the shows.

So I have a prediction for tonight's episode.

I think we find out that Shaggy Dog is not dead and that Ramsey is being set up by the Umbers

My wife has been watching back episodes and I found out there was a mention of something I said had been mentioned in the books but not the show.

S2E5 when Bran is at Winterfell and he's the elder Stark he is hearing the local people bring their concerns to him. One guy tells him about a huge pack of wolves and that it's like nothing that's ever been seen and that something needs to be done about it because it's just a stupid crazy amount of wolves and they're being aggressive. paraphrased, obviously

You think Arya kills the faceless girl tonight?

And if she does, wouldn't the main dude come after her? That'd be a pretty one sided fight.

I think so.

Who have we not heard from in a while?

I think we'll check in on King's Landing for sure.

I also think an old character will be reintroduced.

Hell yeah The Hound is back. I really like the actor who plays him. I was super sad at the end when he came back and his group was slaughtered. Hopefully they show him opening a can of whoop-*** next week.

Other than a kind of meh episode again. How can Arya not be prepared for the Waif? I thought she was going to be ready to kill anyone who approached her out of the ordinary. Also kind of interesting the Faceless leader ordered her to kill Arya quick and without pain, but she opts for multiple stabs to the stomach when she could have easily sliced her throat. Waif is acting very non-Faceless like and that will probably get her killed as she is showing too much emotion.
