Pretty boring episode tbh. Only thing that was cool was the White Walker giant and Queen Mormont being a badass again.

Sansa is back to being a heavily disliked and annoying character.

And to Cercei, everyone else died in that giant explosion.
 
I haven't watched it yet but I did hear it was a sorta boringish episode. Last season was pretty boring except for the last couple episodes (especially the finale which was amazing to me) and I was hoping they would cut off on dull episodes since less episodes this season.
 
I thought it was a good episode. It is now a TV show and not a book adaptation, so it's corny-er than it was before. That's to be expected, the producers, directors and show writers are not GRRM. With just a skeletal outline this is what we're gonna get. I'm really looking forward to book 6. I hope some rumors have been true and book 6 and 7 were written concurrently.

I love the show. One of the best things on TV, but quality has diminished since they left the novels behind.
 
I did like that arya stark got revenge on the freys
 
So it looks like we have 4 possibly 5 armies going into the final fight:

Starks/North
Dany
Lannisters/Iron born
Tyrels/Dorn (possibly joining Stormborn)
White Walkers

My guess is that Dany gets the Dorn and Tyrels in line and then takes out the Lannisters/Iron Born. Then she turns north and it is revealed to her and Snow that they are siblings. They ally with him as the King/Warden of the North under her. Dany marches against the white walkers with the Dorns, Tyrels, Knights of the vale and all of Starks forces and puts down the White Walkers.

Lady Mormont is a bad ***, love her character. And Arya is cold blooded. Wish she would realize that John and Sansa took back WInterfell.

Stuff below my tag is just my opinion of characters mostly. Nothing really plot driven there.

Thnaks for clarifying the relationship between those two characters.

Books 4 and 5 were a slog. But there was important story in there, much of which has been left out of the show.

I don't know what to expect from book 6, if it ever gets published. I honestly don't expect GRRM to ever finish book 7, unless he's been writing it at the same time as book 6, which is pretty much how he wrote books 4 and 5.

A lot of people think he will never finish either of them. I wouldn't be surprised. He doesn't have to, and he has the money and is obviously bored of it (just listen to or read some of his commentary when asked about it). I think the series is as close to an ending as anyone is going to get really.
