Great first episode. Lots of great scenes. Oberyn's introduction, the scene with the Wildlings, and the Hound and Arya in the tavern were highlights for me.

I love who they picked up for Oberyn. He seems too perfect for that role.

I hope they do better with the battle at the wall than the battle for King's Landing. And how the heck they're going to rock Ice Giants is beyond me.

The way they did the dragons was pretty fantastic, but I'm disappointed with the recast of Dario Naharis. That last guy was just too perfect.

So excited for Geoffery's wedding. That's gonna be off the chain.

Bran's moving along, but kinda boring right now.

And lastly, I thought they did fantastic with the Hound and Aria. She's slowly coming around to becoming quite helpful. That's not the right word... competent perhaps?

I hate that they only do one season a year :(

It's funny, there's big-time disagreement about this. I'm with you in liking the other guy, he just oozed way more personality. But others didn't like him. Either way, he only got recast because he took a leading role in an action film.

Also agree that the Dragons were good, but like you, I'm prepared for disappointment for the battle(s) at the Wall. Their budget is pretty good, but apparently not enough to do the large-scale battles justice.

Think the Dragons will get to King's Landing in about 5 years.

Unless they start to make more than two seasons per book... which given the lengths, is easily possible.

In the current book that's out, they're still not in Westeros. And the latest is that the Winds of Winter won't be out until 2015. :(

Haha.. nah, I don't enjoy the nude/sex scenes so much. I know it's an integral part to the story, but I kinda wanna skip over them at times. I'm much more interested in the stories, the strategies and the relationships between each players, etc.
 
I had I hopes for Arya. But as the show goes deeper into the story, she made no progress through the years in the means of swordfighting acting. Actually she looked much better with her teacher who I hope is still alive and kickin' ***. Her sword scenes are too cheesy and slow, also out of excitement. I'd rather watch the Hound go Berserk on a bunch o'dudes and talk about it. Sandor has a great voice.

Um. If it's taking you months to get in a chicks pants, you're doing something wrong. Shouldn't take more than a couple times hanging out. Step your game up brah.
 
also can someone explain to me how the ****ing **** geofrey is still alive?

i know for story we need a villian.
but he has no magical spell surounding him or super batman like body guards.

all the "alpha" men around him with swords and daggers and sloppy dicks.

why dont they just kill him. it easy. or just rape him.


seriously? why is he still alive? are all those armed guys such giant *******?
