Yes, that screen name is incredibly offensive and sick. Maybe the younger Fanz don't know it but the older ones do know the horrors caused by that creep. Shouldn't be allowed here IMO.
 
Fishonjazz explains the situation with Burks logically and empirically, and all he gets is 'no, Burks sucks'. Sigh.

In fact, Burks has not sucked. He's being a bit passive offensively in an obvious attempt to mesh with the system, and his D is as bad as ever. But he is playing solid and efficient basketball, and I expect his scoring numbers to go up as he gets more comfortable with what Quin is trying to do.

I think he can be a decent starter, but I think he can be an amazing 6th man. Jazz need another great wing. With Hayward able to play either spot, that leaves many possibilities via a trade, draft or free agency.

Jesus, take the tampon out. fish makes fair points here and you bitch about how Burks hasn't taken over games like a starter should, as if his ascension to being Dwayne Wade Lite was all but a foregone conclusion. TBPFH, I'd rather Burks learn the system the right way than he decide he's gonna get his and chuck up 22 shots a game, completely ignoring the system and how it's meant to be played.

What am I saying? Give it time. Like all sports, at a certain point, **** just clicks, and all that thinking goes by the wayside and the correct way to play the game without virtually any thinking at all takes place and just comes naturally. Either that or it doesn't and Burks can gtfo.

Hey AKMVP, if you want to see if I am that positive after a bad season record wise then I refer you to last season when I cheered all season long.

This season isn't about tins or loses either. It is about player growth into a team that can win down the road.

The only thing I want to say about Burks is that while he has been a bit invisible/passive so far this year, I am actually more disappointed in his D. His off the ball D is getting exploited more playing against starters, he just seems like he mentally checks out or gets lost when his man doesn't have the ball. His on the ball D is fine, other then screens but then the entire Jazz team has that issue (can't set or get over/through screens). If he could correct that I could would be just fine and happy with his play as I believe he's learning, adjusting and growing into the system and role.

The sign of a good moderator. Also, you live and let live, it's not what you dictate as a moderator like in the competition (won't even bother to name them). Jazzfanz is made of fanzz posts not so-called 'expert' heads like that cousin of Novak's who is often times disrespectful with other posters.
