Holy crap, Faried looked like he was having a heart attack...
The last 5 minutes or so of the 3rd quarter Favors had a look in his eyes. He was calling for the ball, playing like a beast on both ends, great body language - you can see the confidence being injected back into him. And for his efforts, he's benched the first 4 minutes of the 4th quarter. For ****'s sake Corbin forget about your rotations for a second and ride the hot hand you robot - what do you have to lose?

When a team is winless this late into the season, the opposition has a little extra incentive to win: they don't want to be the first.
I've seen absolutely nothing to be hopeful about in the past 4 games.
Jazz will lay an absolute turd in at least one quarter.
If it's close in the fourth, then.....
In other words, I'm not optimistic.

I think his injury is a bigger problem than people are letting on and it obviously affected his conditioning in the summer.

Rowchee, how bad are the Nuggz gonna be this year?
Lots of people here saying they are gonna tank.

Was going to say the same thing, he fouled Gobert 2x. I honestly think he just swallowed his gum (would've had a euphemism but thought better of it).It looked like he got hit in the throat while he was fouling Gobert during the shot, but didn't notice until after the rebound.
There's some truth to this. He freelances, takes forced shots, and struggles setting guys up in the half court.
Jazz should have posted him up a bit though.
Got to watch a game finally here in the Philippines.................here are my thoughts.
1. What happened to the fundamental of being up on your toes while in a defensive stance? Burks, Kantor and others really suck at defense since they stand flat footed.
2. Burks your allowed to glance behind you when you are playing off the point guard to see where the screen is coming from, and why isn't anyone on the team telling him when the screen is coming when he is playing his man tight? Time and time again our point guards are wiped out on the screen and our defense is easily broken down.
3. Now I understand better why so many have said we are playing 4 on 5. Note: Miller is 3 times the point guard of anyone we had playing.
4. Burks you are rushing your shot when wide open and you need to put more arch on your shots. Kantor rushes his jump shot sometimes as well, when wide open.
5. Another fundamental is on defense when the shot goes up you put your rear end into the guy closest to you, stick your hands down and out to feel which side your man is trying to come around you on and step to that side and keep him from moving towards the basket. Hell........... you can get rebounds sometimes without even jumping. Kantor you don't have to worry about your shoulder as your rear holds them off and then you don't have to play tug of war in the air fighting for the rebound.
6. Burks you will never shoot a high percentage on your 3 point shot until you learn to put some arch on it. That sucker is so flat it looks like a pancake, and quit trying to shoot immediately after getting a rebound............fake a shot to get the man in the air, take a few dribbles away from the rim and then shoot it.
7. When our players go to their spots to start the offense, it is so predictable where the pass is going that the defensive players can anticipate and steal the ball leading to many fast break points. Also, if you see the defensive player edging out to intercept the pass fake the darn pass and hit the man breaking for the basket.
8. Who the hell are our coaches that our players don't play with proper fundamentals.
9. Ty Corbin................I know we are playing short a few players so you have to give players a blow, but keeping your best players on the bench more than 3 minutes at a time is stupid. Also, hell look at who you are playing big minutes and getting little or no production from and move them to the end of the bench.
Having coached before it is amazing how poorly coached this team is!!!!!!!!!
That must mean something different in the Philippines than it does in the U.S.
Those players deserve a reward!?
