Neto is surpassing every expectation I had. The team runs well with him in the game. His a true pest on defense.
(Hill would be a perfect fit here, though).
Burke, either the OKC or Warriors 1st, rights to Tomic and a 2nd rounder for Hill?
As far as Hayward goes, he had to be the alpha on offense, but that's not really who he is. Now we have Favors and Hood coming into their own right nowWhat a great win. I think the most encouraging thing for me is that the Jazz haven't looked remotely close to what we all know they can be just based on last season. I'm not worried about Hayward's slow start offensively. It seems like he's pressing. He will figure it out. The good part is that he's been very good defensively through the first three despite struggling by his standards on offense.
The incredible part about their defensive performance was that for a lot of the game the pacers played with a faster pace, and to hold them to 27 second half points is impressive. What a dominant 2nd half. The Pacers scored a whopping 27 points in the 2nd half.
Not the first half. Holy hell!! The Jazz played some sloppy ball boxed in with some bad officiating had me swearing at my tv. The second half, yes I agree. That was the most enjoyable game of the Quin-Synder Era. Despite the fact that the ref gift wrapped the first half of the game for the Pacers, the jazz kept their heads in it and absolutely mauled them in the second half. That was ****ing beautiful defense. That's playoff defense. If the first half hadn't been total trash, the Pacers would have scored 60 points. Favors looks amazing.
I'd imagine something like Burke/Lyles. I don't see the Pacers caring about second-round/very late first round picks for their Point Guard.
I would be wary to give a lot of value up. He's a UFA after 2017.
Odd comments from the Pacers, from Yahoo Sports report:
''We're getting everybody's best punch. It's not that teams are beating us - we're beating ourselves,'' George Hill said."
And ''Playoff teams are raising their level and we're not matching it,'' Pacers coach Frank Vogel said."
So, there ya go, the Jazz is a playoff team. And what are they smoking?
Honestly good for them. Sounds like they truly believe in themselves That is very important in being able to raise your level of play. If I was a Pacer fan that is exactly what I would want to hear.
This. I wanted him pretty bad.
The draft went worst case scenario for the jazz. Too bad they didn't move up.
Ya I agree.I think Burke/Lyles for Hill is a pretty damn good trade for both sides if Indiana decides it's time to push reset.
Throw in PG with it and the Pacers can have Burke, Lyles, Hood, the OKC first and a future first from the Jazz and/or the GS first in 2017.I like it. But I don't think Indiana will even consider it until the deadline, and I don't think it will get done without more sweetener.

Yes, I know I'm dreaming.
If there was a team that needed to tank it would be this pacers team. All they have is hill and PG. Turner is nice but inexperienced CJ can't be starting on a good team. Almost no scoring off the bench.
