They out scored the Pelicans in the 3rd quarter 32-24, but then came out flat in the 4th quarter and were out scored 29-19 to finish out the game. Especially coming off of the OT win at Dallas, I really feel like they should have used Withey, Booker and Jingles early and often so that Gobert, Favors, Hayward and Hood all had more gas at the end. Oh well.

26-26 at the break. 30 games left. 16-14 needed to get to 42 wins and finish above .500 for the season.
 
It was a perfect storm.

Exhausted players.
Pelicans having an uncharacteristically hot shooting night.
Refs as bad as ever.

Whatever.

It's crazy that they only outscored them by that much.
They shot 80% for the quarter?
 
We still played them tough, we just simply ran out of gas. Good run though! 8 games ago this team had no identity, and I wasn't overly confident in them. We started to find ourselves and now look to be a playoff team if we can stay healthy.

It's on tape. They'll get it down. Sucks right now, but they're learning from their mistakes and getting better every day. Time to take a break, get some rest, get healthy and gear up for a monster run at the playoffs.
 
I hope you guys who go crazy like maniacs yesterday and scything like "5th seed here we are!" know we don't have reserves for our team. We can win some games and make us excite and we like it so much but we need make sure know we can't have bench. Im sorry DL makes this on purpose.
 
I'm a little glad we're heading into the break with an L. This team has more work to do and they need to keep it in mind.

The bench did lay an egg tonight. It will be interesting to see what the Jazz decide to do over the break. Should they decide to make a trade, I just hope they don't touch any of the core or top young guys. I'd like to see what a playoff rotation of Gobert, Favors, Lyles, Hayward, Hood, Burks, Jingles and Neto looks like.

If they want to add something to that, they've got the resources to do something.
 
Why so little Lyles? Did he do something wrong?

Jrue Holliday just penetrated whenever he wanted. We really need a PG who can penetrate and corrupt, Neto is not a starter. Zero help from the bench. Add Burks and Exum to this lot and lookout next year
 
I don't like the treatment that Quin is giving to Withey...he showed that he deserves some minutes! Let's trade Booker now and give his minutes to Lyles and Withey!

Don't understand why Withey is not playing. He should've gone in when Gobert picked up his second foul.
 
We need a PG who can throw Rudy a lob. I'm going to be keeping my fingers crossed that we ship out Trey and Booker for a good PG Preferably one that isn't 4 ft 10
 
Booker will be a solid piece come playoff time. He's a high energy guy that can flip momentum and give you solid minutes. I'm not sure you can say that about Withey at this moment. Lyles maybe, but he's only 20 years old.

It seems like Booker is Quin's pet...if they don't trade him now, I fear they could resign him cheap at the end of the season.
