Honestly, it would be cathartic to have Favors/Kanter/Gobert beat up and outshine Al Jefferson only slightly more than it would be to have Gordon "Max" Hayward lead the Jazz to a victory while Lance "Not Max" Stephenson can't even get out on the floor.

The Jazz are not tanking. They're going young and lean. Every game that the young dogs can win will just make them more hungry and meaner. They have nearly every key player under contract for multiple years AND a multitude of assets to add to the team. I think that a 3 game win streak means more in the long run.

They aren't getting into the top 5 without lottery luck.
