The outcome of this game could have a reasonable amount of influence on #TheDecision. Trigger warning for those more sensitive:

If Boston doesn't make it to the ECF (and if Cleveland could then steamroll Washington) then their enticement value of being a better option this summer is greatly reduced.

This is a Jazz thread and deserves its rightful place in this forum. Let's get this rolling:

I doubt a player makes a decision in free agency based on the results of one game. It's all about money and what team gives them the best chance in the future. Boston has a good future regardless of the outcome of this game. But so do the Jazz. I don't see Hayward leaving.

I don't think it boils down to one game, either. However, one game does determine whether or not they get out of the second round in the east. That, my friend, does count.

Hayward ain't going anywhere.

Should be a great game anyway doe.

I will be out mowing the lawns.

My bad. I totally thought this game was tonight.

Anyway, aside from the obvious hyperbole, Boston getting bumped in the second round is a much different story than them putting up a good fight against Cleveland.

The pictures were badass, BTW. Greg "Gary Payton was the best PG I ever played with and Shaq broke my foot" Foster. Dude had a nice mid-range J when he played for us, though.

The first thing I thought when I saw most of the pictures was it was for Gordon to show "Hey Gordon look at all the guys who careers ended after they left Utah."

Holy cow we have a lot of Jazz men who have also played for Washington.

I don't think this game really matters. It's what pick they get at the lottery and what they can turn it into. May 16th will be the reckoning date.

This game IMO will have 0 impact on Haywards decision.

Boston can go from suck to great fast because FA's see them as a storied franchise.

That is the issue we fight.

I still think Jazz vs Celtics are the final 2.

Hayward will have an easier time reaching the NBA finals with Boston.

We will see shortly how much he values that. Have to face Warriors sooner or later.

I get that Boston has the money and has a coach that Gordon is comfortable with but I still don't see it a likely landing spot. Why would Gordon want to play with Isaiah Thomas? It is definitely easier to get to the final four in the East but that is the only advantage for Boston that I can see. He seems to like Quinn and has Rudy as his sidekick here which is a much better situation for him. And I agree that this game is not a deciding factor.

Hayward in Boston does little to nothing of solving the Cavs/Warriors puzzle. Boston is on par with Utah IMO. Both great teams but not yet elite.

Jazz FO needs to step up though.

Hayward does not seem like a dude that would enjoy interacting constantly with the media in Boston . It's pretty relaxed here where you really just have to deal with awkward interviews with Locke every once in awhile.

If the Jazz can get a real PG(not injury prone Hill), then Hayward / new PG / Gobert can be a force to be dealt with for at least 4 years (their contracts)

Only having 2 of the 3 will be much more difficult.
