Game thread (sealing Gordon's fate): Bullets at Celtics 6:00 pm MST TNT

I don't think one game matters that much, but I will be actively rooting against the Celtics for sure.

Don't want them to be able to say we made the ECF without you... now we add you and a lotto pick, plus we still have deals to make. Would be really bad if they pushed Cleveland, which I think is unlikely.

Is this Trey Burke's last NBA game ?????

Didn't you hear?

Trey is a solid starter, er, I mean backup for many years to come in this league. Quin Snyder's offense was holding him back and Utah was trying to break him.

Prolly be a star someday tbh.

This game IMO will have 0 impact on Haywards decision.

Boston can go from suck to great fast because FA's see them as a storied franchise.

That is the issue we fight.

I still think Jazz vs Celtics are the final 2.

Hayward will have an easier time reaching the NBA finals with Boston.

We will see shortly how much he values that. Have to face Warriors sooner or later.

Disagree with this.

In the WEST GS can only hold onto Klay, Steph, KD and Draymond for so long (not long) and IMO it is only GS and Spurs that beat us in the West and I think we will have the Spurs this season if we keep our core together.

In the EAST you have Lebron (obviously) who is at the peak of his powers and will be for another 3-4 season (minimum) but you also have a serious up and coming young team with the Bucks. Not forgetting it will only be 2-3 years before the 76ers with Simmons and Embiid TAKE OVER this league.

3-5 yr outlook I'd choose to compete in the West.

I think your points are valid and most likely correct.

All else being equal I think it may come down to this only difference:

Utah: Great City, Easy Media, King of Hill, at times has issues attracting big free agents
Boston: Great City, Sports Media tough, Celtics not top team, not King of Hill, easy time getting Free agents.

Can't wait until 7/1 to see what happens. I thought Hayward implied that he was going to decide fast. If that is true I think that is a good sign for Jazz

The Sixers "taking over" this league has a ton of assumptions. Can they thin out their front heavy team? Can their bigs stay healthy? Will future picks pan out?

As long as Simmons and Embiid are on the floor the 76ers are Golden! Within 5 years they will be the 2 best players on the planet (Simmons may be top 5 next season).

Last night's game didn't have any effect. Though if Boston wins or makes it competitive against Cavs then that could have impact.

So what you're saying is that if they lost last night then none of your scenario above that has an impact would be able to come in to fruition.
