BTW. the infamous photo

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!
Seriously, that is one of the funniest things I have ever seen in my life, especially given all the build up where BYU fans have called this a douchey attempt by a rival fan to take out one of their stars. In their world the people who reported this were the bad guys, not the people who participated.

And the part about it being nearly impossible to take a photo at this place. Priceless! I thought it was going to be some grainy shot taken in low light of an event that was nearly unrecognizable. If anyone had told me it would be of an active star BYU player obviously posing for the camera in a recognizable Vegas gentleman's club while holding an open bottle of alcohol surrounded by strippers and other partiers with literally hundreds of witnesses in the background I would have said, "No way. Nobody's that dumb." But not only did this guy do that... he let them hold a ginormous sign with his name on it above his head while the photo was snapped. BYU fans are accusing U fans of knowing what their players look like and hunting them down for compromising photos. Meanwhile the BYU player is making sure he's massively recognizable in a photo that can only be saying, "PLEASE KICK ME OFF THE TEAM AND OUT OF THIS SCHOOL WITH ITS RIDICULOUS RULES!"

The kicker is, Hadley isn't even the only person in the photo who had to have known that if this shot ever gets out it's going to have major consequences. There's no chance that the booster wasn't aware that multiple honor code violations were in progress. This is just too funny to be real. How long will it be until we learn that this was really a Photoshop hoax? Nobody could possibly be this dumb.

BTW, I heard a BYU fan ranting about how this punishment had reaffirmed Bronco's moral character. Now that the photo is out it's pretty obvious that Bronco had absolutely no choice in punishing the player. Can you imagine what would have happened if he had tried to sweep this one under the rug? It probably would have gotten him fired. Good for him for enforcing his school rules... but wow.

Btw, the photo was taken in august...... wonder why it just so happened to be delivered to byu right before the rivalry game

Fishonjazz breakdown of tomorrows game! (as unbiased as possible, keeping in mind that I am more familiar with byu's personell than utahs... All stats off the top of my head, no google.)

Quarterback: Tayson hill is a beast running the football, but dreadful passing the ball...... Travis Wilson is also a beast running the ball and has shown that he is pretty damn good passer.
Edge: Utah.

Running back: Williams had like 130 yards in game 1 and 180 in game two with 30+ carries in each (again, off the top of my head, so I could be wrong) phenomenal numbers..... Utah started the season with York as the feature back and have since tinkered a bit and seem to have settled on james poole. Poole is fast and tough and figures to be a good back for the utes.... But Williams has been Dominant
Edge: BYU

Receiver: Pretty even here but have to give the nod to byu because of Hoffman (love dres though). Hoffman is set to shatter every receiving record in byu history, so nuff said. (I really liked Kenneth scott and if he hadn't have gotten injured it might have evened things out.
Edge: BYU

Tight end: This is not even close. Murphy and tonga in a landslide..... Im a huge fan of murphy and believe he will be playing on sundays.
Edge: Utah

Offensive line: One of the toughest to judge. Byu O-line in week was awful, but week two they were amazing due to some lineup changes. Utahs O-line was supposed to be a huge strength before the season started, but have had their ups and downs. I give this one to Utah (just barely) mostly based on how the O-lines compare "on paper"
Edge: Utah

D-line: For byu Kafusi has been Great and manumanuealla (?) has been a star in the making. For Utah orchard looks like another stud pass rusher (whats new), Palapoi looks very good and hemuli is ok.
Edge: Even (I think both lines are quite good and its too tough to call.

Linebacker: For Utah Fehoko has been good and riley is all over the place making plays. Byu's success is dictated by this position (imo) and for good reason. Van noy is the best player on byu (and probably Utah too), Fua looks like he could end up being just as good as van noy (might be a reach, but im going off his potential) and has been in the backfield all most as much as van noy. Unga has done his job in the middle perfectly and Hadley is one of the best stripper tippers the team has ever seen.
Edge: BYU

Defensive backs: Both teams DB's are not very good on paper and utahs have struggled on the field. Byu's DB's have not really been challenged much but got beat badly a couple of times against texas. I give an edge to Utah mostly based on their history at the position.
Edge: Utah

Safeties: For Utah eric rowe is pretty good and experienced and so is Daniel Sorenson for byu. I think Sorenson is the better of the two, but that is mostly just homerism talking. Each teams other safety is just window dressing.
Edge: Even (wanted to say byu but I said I would try not to be biased)

Special teams: Both teams special teams have been pleasant surprises. Utahs kicker (I forget his name) has been a well documented Cinderella type story and looks like he has been kicking field goals in college for 4 years.
For byu Sorensen is finally living up to the hype when he came out of brighton high. 7 for 7 on field goals for the year. Utah had the nice onsides kick too. I cant recall either team having any real issues in special teams other than byu's punter bobbling a snap and having a punt blocked (although that was at the height of a damn monsoon)
Edge: Even

GAME PREDICTION: Byu scores 3 touchdowns and kicks 2 field goals. Utah scores 2 touchdowns and kicks 2 field goals. Final score.... 27-20 BYU.
I think the game will have a lot of punts and feature mostly good defense but the fast pace of byu will inflate the scoring a little. Van noy will make at least one big play that causes a turnover

I forgot about the coaches.

Coaching: whitt has pwned bronco
Edge: Utes

Did you really just say this?

On top of everything else stupid about this comment given that we've all now seen the photo, do you really think his suspension would have been over by now if the U of U fan who obviously tricked him into being in this compromising looking position would have sent the photo directly to the president of BYU the instant it was snapped? At the moment this photo was taken Hadley had to have known his behavior would get him kicked off the team if the rules were enforced in the way that BYU claims they are... and he was clearly okay with the risk.

Over reactor^^^
I have already said (in this very thread) that hadley was incredibly dumb and that it is his own fault.

I was just wondering if the timing of the release was just a way to throw a jab at byu during rivalry week.
Maybe not.
But if it was released intentionally this week then bravo.... I applaud the move.

I actually agree with nearly everything here.... except where you find humor in the BYU player's behavior, I find humor in Ute fan's behavior who waited until the Monday of rivalry week to tattle on Hadley. I don't even blame the fan, I just find it humorous.

But I agree that it was incredibly stupid of Hadley. Seems like he's got to have other issues if he really thought the "risk/reward" of this was worth it. And my first thought on the letters was "gotta be Photoshop". And I agree Bronco had no choice but to give Hadley a major suspension.

I can understand why a BYU fan might not find this idiot's behavior humorous, but I find it equally humorous that BYU fans (including you) keep blaming this situation on U of U fans. The fault is 100% Hadley's. If somehow this had remained buried until after the game do you think that the BYU fans would have been applauding the U fans for their restraint? No way. They would be saying something like, " I find humor in Ute fan's behavior who waited until after XYZ happened at the rivalry game to tattle on Hadley." It wouldn't matter if there was no U connection to this photo at all. The imagined connection is the biggest thing everyone would be talking about. That's just one more thing that makes this rivalry amazing.

And on an only slightly related topic, I'll bet there is no two year hiatus. If both these teams are bowl eligible in one of those years I'll bet they will end up playing each other somewhere outside of Utah.

That would be epic (and pretty cool)

When have I blamed the situation on U of U fans? Answer: I haven't. I agree that the only person to blame is Hadley.

There you go again, blaming the Utes. When will it end?

The level of smack talk from the Utes is pretty disappointing. It's really coming off as defensive and obsessive blathering. Hopefully the game delivers.

Should be a good game today. Hopefully the Utes take care of business, but I'm a little worried because BYU is coming off of a bye...

My prediction... Utes 54 - 10 ;)

Actually, in all likelihood, the game will probably come down to a field goal bouncing off of the goalpost.

Sure, you have blamed the player, while always seeming to mention the Ute fan who "tattled" right along with it. You're actually passive-aggressively blaming the Ute fan, which is a very BYU thing to do. The Hadley case is just another example of why it is do easy to dislike BYU. It's crammed down our throats how "different" and "special" BYU is and at the end of the day, their players are really no different from the majority of college football players across the nation.

Quick question: Did a Ute fan tattle?

If the answer is "YES", then eat a fat one. Coug fans can say anything they want about it, because, get this, it happened.

If the answer is "NO", then I agree, it would be lame for Coug fans to bring it up.

You're actually passive-aggressively being a stupid Ute fan, which is a very Ute fan thing to do. The tat'ler is just another example of why it is so easy to dislike Utah. It's crammed down our throats how "awesome" and "special" Utah is just because they're the doormat of a program that ALL OF THEIR FANS demonized merely hours before they were invited to join, and at the end of the day, their players are really no different from the majority of divorced @ 25, addicted to alcohol, pain pill snorting, chew spitting, DUI fighting, losers across the state of Utah.

Could you imagine how sweet today will be if Lane Kiffin goes down and BYU wins?

I can watch. Lebron go 82-0 and not have it bug me if this happens

What a cute post Trout. Nearly 20% of it was original content, which is rather high for you. Nice work. It must be game day because you're obviously bringing your "C" game. Just like the football team that you and thousands of other mindless sheep follow.

Rise And Pout bitches.

Do you realize that the difference between you being bowl eligible and not might be this game? Love it. Can't wait to ruin your season tonight, lil brother. Your 6 game losing streak begins tonight!
