Game Thread: Utah @ BYU, Sat. 9/21 8:15pm MT, ESPN2

I have to agree about the quality of PAC12 officiating. In all honesty, I hope it doesn't come down to a bad call even if its to Utah's benefit. Regardless of who you cheer for, you always want the players to dictate the outcome.

Anyway, BYU should be fine just as long as their replay official is still on the company payroll. ;)

I'm with you on that.

I seem to recall a replay going our way against San Diego State a few years back. Maybe the replay crew can offset the officials a little bit and it will be like the players deciding the outcome of the game. hehe

Wait a second... I can't be agreeing with you before the game... what just happened?

Pac12 officials are reffing the game and a lot of BYU fans are already up in arms about it. Nothing like blaming the officials for a loss that won't happen until Saturday.

Yes.... Because PAC12 refs would never blow a game to favor their own conference team... Right Gary Anderson and Wisconsin?

Somebody needs to go do a "Jaywalking" type youtube video up at Utah with roster pictures of some BYU players and Utah players and ask them to identify them. Guarantee Utah fans would recognize more BYU players. You could use 20 year old BYU roster photos against Utah's current team, and they would still know them better. They would all be like...."Oh, isn't that Henry Bloomfield from the 1996 Cotton Bowl winning team that went 14-1?" They all have photographic memories when it comes to the BYU roster for some reason. Pick you out of crowd anywhere if you've ever played at BYU.

Stop stalking our players.

So Chris Badger is clear to play DB for BYU immediately.

How soon does he see game action, if at all?

Nice. I believe Mike Hague and Adam Hogan are able to play for the first time this week too. I'm not sure that any of those 3 changes much around right now starting wise, but it's good news for depth purposes in the secondary at least. Hopefully Badger plays special teams at least though. I want to see some of his infamous bone crushing hits.

The whole Hadley suspension thing is just dumb. The Ute fan shouldn't have ratted him out for going to a club, leave the kid alone. I can't believe that going to a club is part of the whole honor code thing. Despite that, Hadley should have known better as he agreed to the rules of a private institution.

The nice thing about PAC12 refs is that they are dangerous for everyone. Although it is likely they will screw the non-pac12 team, there is a non-trivial chance that they will screw the PAC12 team as well, because they are THAT incompetent. The basketball refs are worse in that they actually talk about screwing someone over BEFORE they do it (Sean Miller of Arizona.)

A ute fan took a pic of hadley at a vegas club and then sent it to the university of utah administration....
Then the university of utah sent it to byu..... which led to hadley being suspended.

That's the jist of it anyway

Not what happened at all but I really don't care to argue about it.

Just read the tribune arcticle.....
A ute fan named darren lucy took a pic of hadley at a vegas club and sent it to utahs compliance office.

Utahs compliance office forwarded the email and photo to byu director of compliance Chad Gwilliam.

Then the compliance office from byu contacted bronco and bronco suspended hadley.

Soooooo basically what I said in my original post was pretty accurrate

Go read utefans.net and cougarboard. In the time we live in basically the last place to go for the inside scoop is a local newspaper. That's why we are all on here, no?

It's a jealous boyfriend thing, not a "utes fan getting a byu player suspended" thing.

No way any Utes fan would recognize a random byu dude in a club.

K, I wish I never said anything cuz I don't care, but ya, go read message boards, newspaper don't know ****

Whatever "Darren Lucy" or whatever you want to call yourself. Nice job, jerk.

Depends. Going to a strip club almost certainly would be considered a violation. Going to a dance club wouldn't be. But going to a dance club and drinking would be. (All alcohol is against school rules.)
