To be more accurate, I simply pointed out that his generalizations of an entire fan base are false, and that I am a member of the vocal minority. I hope this clears things up.

So this is what the "rivalry" has become, which fans are the biggest ********? Both sides win!

I think we're all very small, hateful, douchebags when it comes to this rivalry. The fact that the team I root for is in the midst of absolutely owning YBU helps me be at peace with my douchebaggery.

Yes, because playing those "weak ***" PAC teams has gone so swimmingly for you guys.....

I think it's just really hard to get up for them. Nobody but USC has won a national title from that conference since 1991. In fact, the number of national championships overall sans USC is pretty close to 0. It's like...who are these other guys? Are they new to the college football scene? Why should we even want to play them? Because they piggy back well?

Just found out that Middle Tennessee State's starting QB is Logan Kilgore. We share a last name. It must be a sign. What does that mean for BYU? Cougs only win by 3.

In all seriousness, they aren't half bad for a team you just think you are booking to walk over. I can already foreshadow BYU fans whining about winning by 20-40(who knows what it will be) and pointing to Utah's 60 point romp over Webster State as evidence that we are the crappiest craps that ever crapped.

It was 63 points, thank you very much.

Go Blue Raiders!

Cougars, were you aware that these guys snort lightning? Be very afraid.

Apparently Taysom Hill is pretty safe:

https://collegefootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2013/09/26/byu-a-long-way-away-from-benching-taysom-hill/

Hill has completed just 40 of his 114 passes (35.1 percent) through three games this season, tossing three interceptions versus one touchdown.

Despite all of the statistical data that screams “change,” a move at quarterback is not even remotely on the minds of the 1-2 Cougars coaching staff.

“We are a long way away from that,” quarterbacks coach Jason Beck said when asked about yanking Hill. “We are pleased with where Taysom is at and how he’s playing, and where this is headed with the system we are running. We have tons of confidence in Taysom and his ability.”

The bad thing about the way they handled the Jake/Riley(and even Taysom/Riley last year) situations is that I think their takeaway ultimately is that it's better to stick with a guy, when the lesson should really be don't be overly reactionary with the moves, don't change quarterbacks play by play, series by series, quarter by quarter, or even game by game, which they have been guilty of doing on all counts. But give a new QB a decent chunk of time to get in the flow. But 3 or 4 complete games max, not letting complete seasons go by without seeing what you have behind him.

Truth be told, and I can't speak for anyone else here, but I don't care if BYU goes 1-11, just as long as the lone victory is Utah. That makes each loss against Utah that much harder, but it is what it is. I couldn't give a mule's right ball about going to bowl games or beating other teams, I really just don't care.

The silver lining? I probably get more pleasure watching the Utes lose all of their conference games than is healthy, and it really makes my season to see them miss out a bowl game. Seriously, I hate you all so bad. So, so bad.

Funny, this argument is the exact criticism I've heard my entire life about how pathetic the U and their fans are.

Former BYU nose guard Lenny Gomes on Utah and its fans said:
All those guys think that's all there is to life. But when I'm making $50–60,000 a year, they'll be pumping my gas. They're low-class losers
