Love this game for us on the road tonight... At a supposed Western Conf contender's place, rowdy crowd and we're coming off a nice little break. From what I can remember in past years, Jazz usually start out rusty and sluggish as hell in games after relatively long in-season breaks. Then again, that's how we looked against OKC.
New test for coach Snyder and the squad tonight and a great challenge. I'd love to see us in attack mode from the jump. Even if we're missing shots as long as we're in control but still in attack mode then I'll be happy. **** moral victories, though. I definitely will be saddened if we lose because I think we're for real this year. Maybe not 'for real' in terms of NBA title contender, but 'for real' in that we can beat any squad in the NBA if we're on our game (whereas Sixers, Magic, etc can't beat any squad even if they're playing their best).
Not having Rodney Hood due to his foot injury continues to suck the fatty for the sole fact the more comfortable he gets in coach Snyder's system, the more money he will be. Can't get comfortable in the system going against NBA talent sitting on the bench in a suit. Obviously no one wants him back before he's ready with the risk of ****ing it up more though. Just having him gives us a ton of versatility in terms of rotations. Since he's been out, I do like that coach Snyder has been taking either AB or G out with 5 minutes to go in the 1st/3rd quarter while leaving the other in for the duration - then putting the one who went to the bench in for the start of the 2nd/4th.
I just want to see us at full strength and see how much we can grow (figuratively speaking) as a team this season.
But I digress. Curry is almost as big a bitch as CP3 is! Hopefully Trey goes at his neck tonight and sets the tone for us on the way to big Jazz win
