Not a good game. I expected a little better. But not shocked. I was thinking we would go 1-2 in the first 3 with the one win against the Suns
 
We beat this team in the playoffs six months ago with CARLOS BOOZER as our starting power forward. Just sayin. lawl

It's the Utah Jazz.

It was a road game. We suck at those, remember?

Denver was jacked up to blow us out, avenge last year, and win big for their coach.

We meanwhile, are still searching for an identity. Millsap hasn't ever been "the man." Kirilenko is trying to figure out stuff (as he has been trying to do for the past 5 years). Deron wasn't very aggressive (until the 3rd). And the refs turned the game into a whistle fest.

Look at it this way, think Korver, Matthews, and Boozer really would have made a difference tonight? Doubt it. Korver wouldn't have scored more than Hayward's 9. Wesley wouldn't have made a huge difference. And Boozer wouldn't have scored much more than what Millsap did.

We just can't have our PG shoot 3-10, have almost as many turnovers as assists, and as a team just stink it up...

PS Jefferson had 3 blocks tonight, more than Boozer has in his entire career.
 
Far and away the biggest loss margin of all 13 games tonight. Who would have thought?

To all the fairweather idiots that want to jump ship already: please do. And take PK with you, that bitch is annoying.
 
Kirilenko had a horrible game. 2 points (0-4) and 4 turnovers.

Maybe we should have traded for Diaw when we had the chance? ;)
 
Fess had a little energy but we didn't get him the ball in the post. The 1st quarter was a nightmare. Deron was sluggish. Al was confused. Millsap was saving his energy for game 82. AK got into foul trouble. Miles got into foul trouble. Bell fought to keep us from being total blown out.

Then Evans and Hayward came in and made an effort. Hayward didn't do great but his hustle created some plays. Watson just looked like he wasn't really in control. He didn't know where to go, what to do or who to pass to.

In the 2nd half we missed so many easy shots. If it had been a 10 point game at the start of the fourth maybe something could have happened. Matthews would have helped last night just because he always gave the effort.

Oh well. I guess Deron shouldn't have taken a few games off. The first unti really needs time to work together. We'll see what happens, but Jazz sure look like they could use another shooter amongst the starters. AK looked like he wants to play his way onto the Nets.

First game. Let's see how they respond at home tomorrow night.

On a positive note, games like this take care of the minute distribution. Every gets a chance to play!
 
Definitely missed Boozer's rebounding tonight. We allowed 10 offensive rebounds in the first half, and only grabbed 58% of the possible rebounds.

And went 1-3 to this team last season during the regular season including an opening game loss in Denver last year with Carlos Boozer as our starting power forward. So looks about the same to me.
If we loose to them in the playoff, then you can talk
 
It's practically a new team. They'll come together and be a good team. Let's see how they're playing ball around game 15 or so.
 
Bad game overall. The rooks did alright. Should have been a bit better on defense but they will learn. Other than that, this was a terrible and boring game to watch. They better bring it back home.
 
It's going to take more than a few pre-season games to get this team to gel and the newcomers to understand the system. It was painfully obvious they're still a little lost and when they got punched in the mouth it only made it worse.
