Gameday...Spurs vs Warriors 8:30 on TNT

This is the second game of the night. First is Philly @ Detroit. If Detroit wins that one, the SA @ GS game doesn't matter.
HUh/ damn you give me a headache with this . Somebody slap Kenwood. Laker slapper, where are you, get on this.

Sorry for the confusion...now I'm going to add to it.

I don't know what I was thinking before. Even if Detroit wins, this game matters. Three possible finishes:
*GS loss = tied for 7th/8th worst record, doesn't matter what anyone else does in this case. Coin flip decides whether Jazz have a 27% chance (7th) or 88% chance (8th) in the lottery.
*GS win + Detroit win = 8th worst record. No coin flip, and 90% chance that the lottery sends the pick to the Jazz.
*GS win + Detroit loss = tied for 8th/9th worst. Coin flip decides seeding, but either way lottery gives Jazz about 92% chance at the pick.

So clearly the GS game is the game of the night, since a win there makes a MUCH larger difference than Detroit's outcome.

Sure it does. If Detroit and GS both win then GS has sole possession of 8th. But if GS loses tonight, then they are tied for 7th with the winner of the Nets/Raptors game. Then we suffer the possibility of them winning a coin toss and possibly holding onto their pick without a top 3 jump.

When did Toronto knock on the door of the 8th spot? One of those teams will tie with GSW cause GSW is gonna lose tonight. Time for KOC to call in a favor to Spurs FO.

I'm glad this game is on National TV.

The Jazz should have sent video of the 4th period of the Warriors-Hornets game Tuesday night to the league front office. GSW has gone from tanking to outright throwing basketball games.

For real. Aren't there rules to protect the integrity of the game? How is this different from fixing games in any other way?

here's the spurs' minutes distribution last night:

tim duncan - NWT
tony parker - NWT
manu ginobilo - NWT
(these three, along with gregg popovich, were actually sent home and all four will be absent tonight as well.)

gary neal - DNP (some shoulder tweak)
patty mills - 35
james anderson - 29
dejuan blair - 28
stephen jackson - 26
cory joseph - 24 (just recalled from the d-leauge)
boris diaw - 21
tiago splitter - 20
matt bonner - 20
kawhi leonard - 17
daniel green - 17
derrick byars - 4 (just signed from the d-league)

it's hard to see those minutes and not think the warriors at least have a CHANCE.

Until you see the shenanigans that Mark Jackson surely has in store. Expect Klay Thompson to not play the 4th again.

he sat the fourth the other night and they were still up 5 with two minutes to go and would have won if charles jenkins didn't miss a floater.
