What's new

Gamethread: Jazz v Lakers. 7pm MST.

I was obviously not referring to Hayward post all-star break. My (obvious) point is that he was seen as a bust by a significant amount of Jazz fans for a large portion of his rookie season and he was two years older than Exum at the time.
I disagree.
I think a large portion of jazz fanz discussed the fact that he was playing poorly while he was in fact playing poorly and that is much different than giving up on him after a portion of his rookie year or declaring him a bust

Yeah, I only remember a few folks giving up on him. The main complaint that I remember is that he played too soft and tentatively (remind you of anyone?)

Now the dude got balls the size of a Brontosaurus.

Good point.
I wish I had been able to watch dante pre-nba like I did with Hayward
Definitely would help me feel more confident in exums future.

All I have seen of exum is a few highlight videos from all star type games against high schoolers and his sl, pre-season, srimmages and this year with the jazz

Not from my experience, but then again I can't really speak for the attitude on Jazzfanz as I wasn't here at the time.

So nobody liked the free hat.

Jermaine O'Neal didn't get minutes early on because he played on arguably the deepest feontline I've ever seen. Sabonis, Sheed, Brian Grant, Davis, Kemp, just to name a few off my head...

None of the Jazz's current big men would have gotten any PT on that team. The Blazers of the early 2000s were some of the most talented and immature teams you'll ever see.

And yet Mailman still kicked their asses!

If only Bruss could've hit his free throws...

I remember when the Jazz were eliminated in 1999, BRUSS was fouled shooting a 3 pointer (I believe it was the jazz's final shot) and the refs swallowed their whistles... Tough loss for me as a 10 year old.

Might I also add that Malone was atrocious in that game 6 loss. 3-16 shooting with 8 points... Ugh

I really liked that team that had duckworth, buck williams, jerome kersey, cliff robinson (kersey and robinson were two of my all time favorite players btw) drexler, and porter.
Very fun to watch
